Absolutely amazing hotel. We got it at a time when rates were cheap so it was so worth the money. The pool and sauna were great and we were allowed to use it after check out too. Reception staff were always helpful. Good view from the window too of the river.

The staff and the place was awesome. We had issues with the room and was resolved by Emily straight away by moving us to the business lounge room.

The hotel was excellent. The breakfast was plentiful, the room was spacious, and the lake view room offered a fantastic panorama, directly facing the BBC building. It's also just a 20-minute walk to the University of Glasgow. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Glasgow.

Very disappointed at booking in process the reception staff said he couldn't find booking and did l have any proof also asked for identity. After showing said proof again couldn't match up number someone one piped up and said someone was in said room which transpired yo ve my friend who they phoned up to confirm. Eventually when l got to room greeting cards was addressed to a, Judith _David no connecting to our booking. No basics like shower cap etc, bare minimum two tea bags abd milks. tired room overlooking the bin area which we were woken three times in the middle of the night with bottles getting tipped in very disturbed sleep. Attended function at hotel and during each course my place setting was missed out had to call over waitress /waiter to address this, Tea arrived again missed me out eventually brought over tea which was pale light coloured water delivered to our table clearly didn't put enough teabags in for pot so had to come back with physical teabags for people to put in their cups. So again not a good experience. Found staff on arrival not helpful but on departure the receptions told apologed and said the room had already been allocated to someone else. The events manager/central reservations weren't up to speed with what events were taking place.

The hotel facilities are a bit old and the cleanliness was just okay. The air conditioning wasn't great, and they provided a heater in the room during winter, but it looked a bit dirty. The power outlets in the room were not working well, which made charging my phone inconvenient.

Parking out the back with a tunnel to walk through to reception. Pay for parking when checking out. Our twin room was comfortable, and perfectly adequate for one night. The location is actually great, right next to the sec , and plenty of options for getting into town. It's a big hotel, so lobby and bar were buzzing at all times.

Super dated hotel, pretty grubby and old fashioned. The leisure club is awful and grotty. Room wasn’t very clean - found rubbish under the bed, remote control didn’t work. Soo noisy - sounded like chairs being dragged across floor all night. Expected more premium amenities and service. Slow and old fashioned check in and out. Wouldn’t stay again.

Great room, very spacious and amazing view out on the river and SEC. Some basic things such as the very old AC panel and low quality bathroom door, and toilet seat were a bit surprising. Also placement of sockets is a bit of a nightmare, just to make tea you have to lift the whole tray and put the kettle next to your bed. The fridge was also not plugged in and if i wanted to use it I think i would have to pull it all the way out. Other than these small things my stay was great and I appreciate the complimentary snacks and waters.
