Well we have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about our stay. Loved every thing. The room was in attic . Large very comfortable bed. Brilliant WiFi Smart tv (Brilliant) Spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy. On arrival we had fresh fruit, milk, yogurt, cheese and water waiting on us. Iron, ironing board, clean towels. Kettle etc and cafetiere coffee. Beautiful view out of attic window of the Glasgow Necropolis and The provans lordship. (Oldest house in Glasgow) It's very much a self sufficient 'stay' with regards to online check in. Code for key pad to get in etc. Mobile number is given in the event you should require any help or advice from owner. Our room was up a couple of flights of stairs which wasn't an issue at all for us but may be to others. (no lifts ) We walked around the area. The beautiful Glasgow Cathedral is also across the road . A 5 min walk will take you to a large supermarket and fish and chip shop. **(There is an Italian restaurant on ground floor of the building) ** We were greeted this morning with a lovely wee breakfast on a tray table with beautiful granola, sour dough bread and cake outside our door. Thank you so much to the owners who really made our stay amazing. All the little extras just added to our stay. We are definitely coming back and bringing friends. You won't be disappointed. Beautiful wee hidden gem in our beautiful city ❤️

Beautifully interesting building with a view from our window of the Necropolis and the Cathedral. Loved the bathroom - we were in the one room with a deep tub, and it was a delicious soak. Breakfast was soooo yummy! The homemade sourdough toast was something I could eat all day - delicious! Laura was a fabulous host and had thought of every detail.

Was in the middle of taking a walking tour and stopped in the Cathedral House Hotel for bite to eat. Hard to come across a good burger in Europe coming from America, but this place made it to top of the list. The home made pizza rocks. The best part is the menus are written on old album covers. Love it.

Great hotel and very pleasant owners. Room was fine and the window had secondary glazing, making it completely quiet. Bed was comfortable. Five of us also eat at their restaurant, Celentano's. An uncomplicated menu with excellent food. All five of us were really happy with our meals. Breakfast was Continental but very tasty. I highly reccomend both the hotel and the restaurant. Overnight parking was in the Duke Street multi-story carpark at a cost of £5 (as of 22nd Feb 24) and was a six minute walk to the hotel.

We where in the lovely room 4, absolute stunning the colour scheme was very tasteful. Loved how comfortable the bed was I do stay in Glasgow so found my way round easy. From high street train station Glasgow to the hotel it about 4/5 minute walk which is great. You are local to the city centre and can walk to high street and argyle street easily. Loads of local bars and restaurant round about and great view of Glasgow. My partner was in love with the homemade bread he hasn't shut up about it everyone getting told lol. Laura absolutely amazing great to see a hotel owner in there hotel, we have stayed in loads of hotels and don't really see this, Laura also hand on and prepares breakfast which you also don't really see in any hotel we have previous stayed Staircase wasn't a issue for us as there plenty of room on the stairs to walk up and down, and not far up to get to your room like some reviews have stated. We will be returning in June time

We visited Glasgow during the cycling world championship (early August 2023), and despite the crowds this entailed, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Something went wrong during check-in because the email with the access code for the door had not reached me (for whatever reason). But luckily this problem was quickly solved with the help of a friendly lady in the restaurant (located in the same building). We generally liked the room: large, enough space for luggage, nice rain shower and a nice comfortable bed. We can't really think of any negatives except maybe a few small mold spots in the shower and a window that is a bit difficult to open. In our room, black tones were used on the walls etc. Admittedly, you have to like this, but we thought it looked good. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor and is of good quality: granola with yogurt and fruit, very good coffee and tasty toasted (sourdough?) bread with jam. We do not agree with a number of reviewers who claim that the location of Cathedral House is not good. The opposite is true, the location is ideal: located on the eastern edge of the city centre, near the cathedral and near the fantastic Glasgow Necropolis. In addition, it was very easy for us to get to and from High Street train station and we didn't even need additional local transport. Also, this place is located in a relatively quiet place, close to a green oasis. (the park surrounding Necropolis) Glasgow is a fantastic city to visit and unlike Edinburgh, it is not overrun by endless crowds of tourists. There is plenty of greenery, there is plenty to do in terms of culture, there are historic buildings, wall paintings and there are many (affordable) restaurants and pubs. Definitely recommended, both the city and Cathedral House Hotel!

We love boutique type hotels and this one hit all the marks. Great restaurant at night - Celetanos. Located across from the Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis- this wee hotel is lovely. Be aware that there is not lift, but didn’t bother us! View from our room of the Necropolis.

Convenient location opposite Drygate bar and the cathedral, and close to Merchant city. Unusual check-in system (no on-site reception staff, informative email received on morning of arrival with code for door entry) - this worked well for us and there is a mobile number provided in case any issues. Room was good - clean, comfortable, modern, had everything we needed. Breakfast was great - continental only (not our usual choice but very pleasantly surprised), quality ingredients, generous portions, nice atmosphere and helpful staff member. We didn’t use bar / restaurant otherwise. Outside seating area looked good. No on-site parking but Duke St multi-storey car park is a 5 minute walk away and only £5 overnight cost. On street parking outside is also free 6pm - 8am. Thank you, will return.
