The whole place needs an upgrade. The building has a rather strange and slightly off-putting smell. 😕.
There was no water to the sink and shower in our room which staff on reception were aware of but didn't think to inform us. The issue was rectified later on. . . .but not as quickly as we would have liked. Wouldn't choose to stay again

A comfortable hotel and good value for money.
However finding it was an unexpected challenge. Walking from Hyndland station what appeared to be the hotel appeared as I passed the hospital on the left. But where was the entrance? No signs along the footpath, so turned left onto Great Western Road to arrive at a petrol station. I could see the Leonardo , but again no entrance and no obvious way to find one. So, off I set back to the road where the hospital was located. I could see the hotel but no sign of any reception. Eventually I walked round the back and found my way in. Only the following morning did I discover that there was a pedestrian cut through to the petrol station
I've been to many hotels in my 73 years, but this one went out of it's way to play hard to find.
Maybe the owners assume everyone will arrive car and their satnav will guide them .
My advice to the owners. Put some signs up

Whilst rooms were clean the hotel is very tiered.
Musty smelling throughout, carpets threadbare in places and in need of replacing.
Rooms and corridors badly in need of painting.

We stayed at the hotel due to Glasgow Warriors game at Scotsdoun stadium. Suited nicely, decent walk. Hotel room was just fine for two nights.

Sadly, our trip was terrible. Our room was directly across from the elevators, people were coming and going all night and making a noise, coaches were arriving , fire alarm went off numerous times at 7am. We decided to leave as soon as possible. The trip was meant to be a resting stop for our 8 hour journey and we were exhausted when we left. A refund would be expected for such a bad experience, however the gentleman at the desk just apologised for the inconvenience.
