The weather didn't spoil our amazing and relaxing experience at the Lodges. We were in lodge 5 which was facing unspoilt views of the loch. The lodge was a great size for us and the hot tub was amazing once we got our son to bed! Can't fault it and we'll definitely return in the future. Special thanks for organising a massage for my wife from the lovely Ruth, she was incredible!!

This is our countless trip here, been over 10 years since we have been coming and our trip is yearly a must, this place is super quiet and private and personal, and we always book the lodge 5 Cawdor , it has 2 bedrooms with full bathrooms up stairs and downstairs a steam bathroom , a kitchen and washing machine all the amenities needed, towels robes slippers everything included, comfy beds and also a sofa bed, the best peice with the hot tub facing the loch, it's spotless clean and everything u need, there's so much to do round the area literally 5 mins walking distance away from the oak tree pub/restaurant and a small shop and a tasty cafe also 20mins away by car there's also Balloch, with many restaurants to eat from and some shopping bits and peices and Sea world, we are never disappointed and the team are so great and super friendly staff and the owners also, we literally call it our second home and we just got back from our 10 day stay and now we are already planning our next trip just before Christmas again, totally recommend this place either for a family or as a couple, so relaxing and to forget about the stress for a couple of days, it's a gem also love seeing the rabbits running around the deers, ducks , one in nature my fav

This will be our fourth visit to the Lodges in the last several years, the area is just stunning! Yet again what a wonderful time we had with some amazing weather! Would highly recommend the pub in the village for food and also Duck Bay Marina round the other side of the Loch, where we ate one evening. The highlight of our trip was booking a motor boat for the afternoon and being out on the Loch, take a trip over to Balloch Marina where you can hire them along with paddle boards etc. Our daughter who is 8 loved zipping along the Loch in the boat! You can even do some shopping over there! Overall a lovely weekend, patio area was great as was the hot tub especially with the sun shining, but would love to see the lodges internal furniture refreshed and updated at some point in the future!

We had an fantastic time in Balmaha for 3 nights four days, made even better by the lovely weather we had. We stayed in the new studios for two. It did the job but there seemed to be so much lost opportunity with storage. We didn't take that much with us but there never seemed to be anywhere to put anything. Maybe it's just me but I can't see that many people who visit here will want to sit on a chair in the bedroom to put their make up on or dry their hair. They'd much rather have wardrobe space to hang/lay clothes out of the way. The bed and bedding was so comfortable and clean The lounge area was adequate for two people but the sofa was hard and not very comfortable. Then as we sat down to try and relax and catch the final of bake off the professionals we couldn't get the TV to work. Only to be informed the next day that the TV is for streaming only, you can't get proper channels. Cheers (someone) for not logging out of Iplayer so we could watch sewing bee, as unfortunately I didn't bring any of my channel passwords with me. The bathroom and the whole studio was nipping clean and the shower was amazing. However there was no hooks to hang wet towels or dressing gowns and I'm certainly not a lover of hanging damp towels on furniture or radiators. Thankfully the weather was fab while we were there, so out they went to dry in the sun. The kitchen did the job and it was great to have a freezer section in the fridge with an ice cube tray. Again the kitchen area, utensils, fridge , oven were immaculately clean Thankfully I took my own camping chairs and seat cushions otherwise the outdoor furniture provided would have been very hard and uncomfortable. We were lucky enough to eat both our breakfast and evening meals outside our studio. No midges , no bites. We walked conic hill and it's so close I didn't have to take the car, so we were able to have a well earned pint at the Oak Inn and then it was an easy few minute walk back to the studio. We visited Balloch, had lovely walks to the loch on site and around the loch in Balmaha. Went on a Haggis search, listened to live music at the pub. So despite the place being quite small there is loads to do. We had a fabulous time and with a few small tweaks and my book of passwords it would have been absolute perfection. Thanks for a fabulous time, we have been singing your praises to friends despite the niggles

The accommodation posed as five-star luxury holiday rental, but the two lodges we stayed at were aged and poorly maintained, not to mention that so many facilities inside were broken or malfunctioning. The drainage in the shower didn't work, making it impossible to take a shower downstairs. The joinery work in the bathroom were broken or falling in several places. The water pressure was extremely poor and prevented my family from being able to take showers simultaneously, or even using a tap or flush a toilet while a shower is running. Our mattress was sunken and did not feel five star. The surroundings were pretty and well kept, and accessibility to local amenities and tourist attractions was good. There were not much services provided during our stay. And none of these issues reported could be solved before we left. Overall we feel that the lodges were over-advertised, and and that the lodges were not worth the money we paid for.

We had a great stay in the adjoining lodges with our friends and children. We had family stay opposite. The lodge was incredibly spacious and there was room for 12 of us to gather in the lounge/dining area. The kitchen was well equipped and it was easy to have a Tesco shop delivered on arrival. Having 3 bathrooms was great. Towels and robes were nice quality. The views from the master suite onto the much were stunning. We booked New Year’s Eve at the local pub, The Oak Tree Inn. This was approx 5 minute walk along the main road. We highly recommend the lodges.
