Seton Guest House

Really warm welcome from the moment we knocked the door! We were a bit early but I thought I'd knock and see if we could come in, Eric was wonderful, let us come in and get sorted out. Showed us the room and all the things we needed to know, heating, WiFi etc. He was so helpful, as soon as we said we were heading into town for dinner he told us about the easiest way to travel and it worked out great! When we got in from our gig on the evening he was there to wish us a goodnight and was so lovely Had already told him that we'd have breakfast around 9 and when we came downstairs ( slightly hungover) breakfast was lovely.. really good coffee, lovely fresh juice. Fruit was offered but honestly just wanted the full breakfast, it was cooked fresh to order and was so tasty, (the eggs were cooked just right too!!) Eric and his wife were so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. I think if I had to say one thing I would of liked that would be a mirror to do my make up in but that's me being really fussy as there were 4 mirrors in the room just not one to sit at 😀 Apart from that, location, room, decor, heat of room, breakfast and hosts were all wonderful and I will definitely go there again if I go to Glasgow! I will say, we were going to the Barrowlands ballroom which is why this was a good location for us.

What a great place to stay. Eric and Lesley were very welcoming when we arrived. Room was good, bed was comfortable and the veggie breakfast was well worth the £12. It’s beautiful place with period features and well maintained. Next time I’m in Glasgow I’ll stay here.

We stayed for three nights to explore Glasgow before going on to Shetland. Eric and Leslie were really helpful before and during our stay, nothing was too much trouble. We had the small double with private bathroom which was fine , the bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed the view over the gardens. Location was good, it’s a quiet spot but close enough to the the city centre with bus stops close by. The highlight of our stay was the fabulous breakfast, fresh fruit salad, huge choice of cooked options and lovely bread. We will definitely return to Glasgow, an amazing inclusive , forward thinking city and to Seton House.

Absolutely no negatives, beautiful house, easy parking, comfortable, generous room. All small details taken care of such as water bottles, help with our heavy bags. Breakfast was excellent, location a flat easy work to the city. Kind and generous hosts.

The Seton Guest House is an absolute gem. The house is a beautiful victorian property, lovingly restored to it's original splendour but with all the mod cons you could require.. Check out the stunning ceilings and stained glass windows. The breakfast room overlooks the immaculate front garden and pretty greenery beyond. The bed was super comfy, the room had everything we could need and was also beautifully decorated and restored. The breakfasts were quite simply the best! Eric and Leslie were the nicest, kindest hosts you could wish for and nothing was too much trouble for them. Bellgrove Station is a very short walk away there you can hop on a train, and in two minutes and a couple of stops later be in the heart of George Square, central Glasgow. We cannot recommend The Seton highly enough, it was a joy staying there.
