Perfect. Lot better than premier inn in terms of facilities like microwave and desk space however the beds were a little short. I'm 6ft 3 and my legs were hanging off the bed.

This is a functional little hotel that is close to the train station. Don't expect luxury, but you can expect friendly and warm service, and a spacious room. The reason I booked this hotel was due to the rail strikes. I was on a business trip and meant to be taking the train to London that evening but wasn't able to. Furthermore, it was the Cheltenham races and all the other places had already been booked out. This room was a lifesaver for me. I was exhausted from an intense itinerary and needed a place to sleep and freshen up. I was pointed to the supermarket close by. As there were all the cutlery and even a microwave in the room, I had no issues rustling up a hot meal for myself. I am giving this hotel a high rating because the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I just want to make it very clear that guests need to understand this is not a fancy establishment designed for holidaying, but if you are travelling for work purposes, this will come close to being home away from home.

As the hotel is right in the centre of town, very convenient for shopping, sight seeing and walking distances to restaurants and coffee shops. Although there is no carpark, there is the city carpark close by and reasonably price. It is also close to the train station.

There are blood stains on the toilet paper The pillow still smells bad The sheets are also torn The key is that for 1.3k RMB a day, you can even stay in a river view room in London at this price.

Just arrived back from this hotel from a weekend with a group of 18, I saw a lot of negative reviews before we arrived, but this is my review of our experience. On arrival, we had a smooth and quick process...for the 9 rooms. Very friendly staff... just remember when you book you have to put a deposit on the room, around £100 for the weekend we paid per room. The room was really nice and clean. A fridge and microwave in the room plus a good TV on the wall if you wanted to stay in watching it.. One thing to mention are the beds. They are really comfortable but really low down, so if you are tall, it's a bit of a struggle to get up off them. The bathroom was nice and spacious, and the shower was great with plenty of pressure and hot water.. The hotel is really close to the Regal (wetherspoons) just through the shopping centre. And a couple of minutes walk to the main streets.

Booked in a group , id asked for -photo passport or similar ?? Never been asked that before . Didn't have any but two of the,group did so they accepted that . Booking didn't say we needed to pay additional security deposit £250 on top for each room. This caused sime heated discussion . Eventually we agreed to pay cash . When we headed to out room we noticed lots of cameras throughout . Room was a bit smelly and window only opened 3 inches , shower looked clean apart from some hair around the plughole . Noise was the main issue outside on syreetvthere was a lot of vagrants who apparently live in shop doorways opposite the hotel . The noise from adjoining rooms was unbelievable . It woke me 3 or 4 times in the night.

£250 deposit on top of the room fee we had already paid fo the stay . The company says security deposit is on all bookings but looking at three separate web sites it does not clearly show this extra cost , it’s still not returned to us weeks after staying. This company has misled us about providing the refund as no credit has been made to our account. A disaster of a hotel this just about the peak of the worst break we ever had. The hotel is very badly managed and poorly maintained . Noisey at night and not safe for a woman on her own .lights not working in dark corridors Drunken people were in and out the building until the early hours .

Not safe for safe for single females or families . Drunken blokes @ 1 am knocking our door. Security deposit 250 unbelievable , bad customer service for the whole stay , 1 star out ot of 5 not recommended. Read other re Iowa before booking or staying 🤔 bad

Bad nights sleep…. Bed wasn’t the comfiest . Noise until 3 am from other guests kept me awake . Including doors being slammed shut . talking of noise the street outside was busy with buses coming & going as well as cars . Not recommended if you need a good sleep

Bedding & pillows stained , pillow was sweat stained under cover I would not reckoned this place unless your homeless or considering sleeping on the street. Parking was a nightmare none at or directly outside the hotel . I would not recommend this place for a lone woman .

Bed was very uncomfortable & impossible to sleep in, floor was dirty & sticky. All surfaces were tacky & sticky. Hairdryer was filthy with unknown things stuck in it. Even with windows closed, street noise was terrible. Could not stay another night so have booked elsewhere at extra expense.

I’m disgusted poor cleanliness in the hotel and lack of customer service skills by the hotel staff . Dirty crockery which when we spoke to a member of housekeeping they washed the cup and plate and cutlery in a sink used for bathing . The water used was clearly not hot enough either. Vile place not worth 3 star hotel rating No lounge No food or breakfast service

Shocking nights stay . Not recommended . I would advise against staying here . Only a 1 star hotel , or less. Unsympathetic staff who have obviously heard all the complaints going. Read some of the others reviewd and you will understand the reality.
