Anna who helped me check in was delightful. Super helpful and kind. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, but easy 25 min walk to the heart of Peso de Ragua. Nice pool area although pool towels cost €2. Excellent breakfast with plenty of options.

The whole experience from Check in was excellent, we booked the double room and it suited our needs. Very comfy bed and excellent bedding. The pool was a welcomed addition and we used it both days.
Breakfast is plentiful and of a great quality. Staff constantly refill platters so there is plenty.
We found the staff member to go above and beyond for us, booking a wine tour and sorting out a taxi, she also recommended places to visit and restaurants. We were able to park directly outside the hotel and easily found a space each time we returned.

We stayed here 1 night and regreted it. We should have stayed more time. Staff is kind, owner flexible and accommodating. Rooms have all you need from ac to clesn bathrooms. Swimming pool is excellent. Awesome place. Look no further..

Excellent option for a stay in the Douro Valley. Small, cozy and well decorated.
The staff is fantastic and always ready to help. The only negative point for me was the mattress. It was a bit harder than I would like to, however, I will definitely consider this property for a next trip.

Casa do Salgueiral exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a place to sleep and got much more. The century old house was tastefully decorated and has views of a vineyard and mountain to the back and the Douro River out front. Our host Andre was friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. The complete breakfast buffet included scrambled eggs and espresso coffee and was served in a spacious light room on the bottom floor. Not only are you in walking distance to the center via a river bike path but you also have a pool and garden to relax in. Highly recommend Casa do Salgueiral. Thank you for a great stay!

It was a one night stay that, if not for the already planned itinerary, I would have liked to have extended. Simple and well decorated room, with spacious bathroom and storage. Air conditioning, TV and lots of light coming through the large old windows. House decorated with great taste, everything very clean and very attentive staff. Great pool, well-designed indoor and outdoor common spaces and a very good breakfast.
