The Eddy Taproom & Hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the Eddy. Clean, comfortable room, friendly staff, and very dog friendly. Will stay here again!

The room was fine. The breakfast was good however, the tables were not cleaned after other guests left. The coffee maker on our floor did function our whole visit.

The Eddy is a really cute boutique hotel in Golden. It felt tucked away in a private corner, but was also really close to Downtown Golden and other places of interest. The design of the hotel was particularly thoughtful- the rooms were somewhat small, not tiny by any means, but everything was set up to keep your room organized and it had everything you need. The sconces outside of each room were a nice touch. I really liked the coffee, tea, and water station at the end of the hall. It provided all sorts of fancy coffee drinks and hot chocolate from an automatic machine and even extra syrups to add to your drink. Also the fragrance of their in room soaps and lotions was really nice. The only thing with the room - the in unit HVAC system circa 1980 felt a little chintzy and there was definitely some noise coming from the floors above in evening - thumping and bumping from people moving around. Check in was a little confusing because the front desk looks like a restaurant host station, and is in fact, in the restaurant. It wasn’t clearly marked as hotel check in. So that was a bit confusing but the check in person was really nice and they offer you a little glass of pale ale as a welcome. Also, parking is really simple. Plenty of spaces available right outside the front door. The food and drinks at the restaurant were very good but some of the wait staff seemed a bit bothered they actually had to serve people food and drinks. Overall a great stay and I would recommend.

The beds were hard, bedding almost non existent, room was loud and smelled. I paid for an upgraded corner room and they put me on the second floor next to the parking lot. It’s right above the restaurant/bar. You can hear noise all night long. Plus windows, even with shades pulled down, you could feel the cold coming through them onto the bed. I asked to move rooms and they said since I booked through ******* they couldn’t help me. Staff isn’t overly helpful. Water dispenser was broken on the 2nd floor. Also, for those reading this, the hotel sits on the corner of busy highways/roads intersecting. Not in the cuter town area. Something that you can’t tell from these pictures. I think all the good reviews are because of the free beer sample that they offer, which I don’t drink anyway. The room has the comfort of a dorm room. Decor looks ok but definitely not meant for comfort.

The town of Golden is cute and the hotel was conveniently located on our way out to the mountains. The amenities and the breakfast were great as well.

The room and hotel was clean. Breakfast was fresh and simple. Only downside was the power outage and the creamer on the second floor hall lobby was spoiled. The ice/water machine also was not working on 2nd floor.

Nice place in a very good location of Golden. Friendly and efficient staff. I would stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the Eddy Taproom and Hotel! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Food was outstanding, the outdoor space was so relaxing. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
