Prestige Inn Golden

Golden|1.79km from downtown
We chose this hotel because the places we usually stay in Golden that allow our dog were booked. The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway, but this also means it can be noisy. There is a restaurant attached, which was great for us, as we could pick up food to have in our room (we don't eat inside restaurants due to Covid concerns). The hotel and room were fairly clean, but there was a chunk of something that the vacuum had missed on the floor next to the bed. There were also a LOT of people walking right by our main floor window, which meant we ended up having to sit in the room with the drapes closed in order to have any privacy. I think the rooms in the back of the hotel would be quieter, and rooms on the second floor would be more private. (I'm not sure if the second floor is an option if one is travelling with a pet.) Basically, this hotel was just your average, 2 story, hotel on the side of the highway. It's fine, but the price is high for what you get.

We needed a place to stay to break up our drive. Clean and spacious hotel (motel). Pet friendly. Beautiful views outside the hotel. Great continental breakfast: scrambled eggs, toast (great bread), fruit, yogurt, hash browns (skip the coffee). Overall, we would gladly stay there again.

Very good hotel, the rooms are all suites with their own kitchen, living room and dining room. The kitchen appliances are complete and of good quality. You can bring your own ingredients for a good meal and solve the Chinese stomach during the journey. The kids in the living room had a great time. The balcony behind the mountain is an activity field. You can pay to participate in various activities in the golden area. There are annual and secondary cards. The price is not expensive. The hotel is about 20 minutes away from the national highway. There is no big supermarket on the way. The supply can be settled in the supermarket below the hotel but it is only open until 19:30. The front desk of the hotel has a good attitude and patience.

Golden|1.39km from downtown
Lovely looking place but in the industrial side of town. However it is an easy walk right into town along the river road which isn't unpleasant . The rooms were a good size for a family of 4, but boy was it noisy. Kids in the next room shouting running up and down stairs, screaming from 6 am was a real treat. Soundproofing is definitely non existent so bring ear plugs. A comfortable nights sleep but breakfast was very poor. if there is an option not to have breakfast, just book a bed and have breakfast in town. Pretty average and passable if you just need a bed for the night.

The manager should be an Indian, next to Highway 1, and the traffic conditions are good. There is a truck that has a rest on the road. A stop sign at the intersection is easily blocked by the truck. Pay attention to traffic safety. There are several areas in front of and behind the hotel. The pool and laundry room are upstairs. The room, bathroom and bed are not bad. The TV looks very cool. There is breakfast, but there are not many varieties, only waffles, bread and eggs that are baked by myself. Next to the hotel there is a local grill, Chinese restaurant, several fast food restaurants and a liquor store. If you want something else, you need to drive through the river and enter the city.

One stop on the way from banff to kelowna The hotel is just off Highway 1, and there are gas stations, DQ, TimHortons, McDonald's and so on. Free parking and free coffee and hot water supply. Breakfast is simple American style, no problem to eat, coffee (or tea) can be taken away. The room is quite large. There are two 28-inch boxes without pressure. The bed is about 1.5 meters. There is no problem sleeping four people in the twin room. Very good sound insulation! As a hotel for a break, it's quite satisfactory.

Booked here as everything else in Golden was booked up or really pricey! The room was great, Check in was efficient and a bag breakfast idd so given for the next morning. A lot of hotels have been doing this since Covid. A few notes for housekeeping and upkeep ( in case management is listening). Otherwise I could see this hotel being removed from Super 8 branding. 1. Get some bleach and a brush and clean the wall tiles in the bathroom. No excuse for what they looked like! 2. Get the air conditioners cleaned and serviced. They barely worked. 3. Remove all the mismatch chairs on the walkways or better yet remove them all. Then you can actually vacuum the walkways. 4. Maintain the stairs. Other than that our stay was okay!

Just on the edge of the highway, this area is the transitional accommodation to Banff, there are many hotels of the same type. This one is relatively small and its facilities are relatively old, but it is cheaper. Two floors, no elevators, Canada is basically a wooden structure house, there is still noise when you move around. Check-in is fast, check-out is also very simple, as long as you return the front desk key. The nearby attraction is the pedestrian wooden bridge on the Kicking Horse River.

Standard American breakfast. The room is also big. It’s good to stay for one night when passing by. Come around and eat easily. We drove to the Eleven22 in the center of the city to eat, not bad.

There is a swimming pool, although small. There is a gym and there is breakfast. Check-in and check-out are very convenient, the room is large, the double bed can accommodate four people, there is a microwave, capsule coffee, which is very good.
