Hotel Villa Margherita

We spent an idyllic week (2 adults and a 17 year old) at the Villa Margherita in July. It was incredibly hot but the room and the communal ares were a perfect temperature. As well as being cool the room was very well appointed with wonderful views over the bay. The bar and restaurant were very relaxing and the pool and gardens were so relaxing. All the staff were unwaveringly helpful and cheerful as well as working so hard, from the garden maintenance to the cleaning staff and the excellent team in the restaurant. Elisa and Marco helped us with plans for boat and car hire as well as restaurant recommendations ( all of which we enjoyed) The hotel has a boutique feel and feels more like a 5 star and we were always made to feel very special from the moment we arrived ( transfer organised through the hotel) to the moment we left. As I have seen someone else write, we never normally go back to anywhere twice no matter how nice the experience but in this case we intend to make an exception. Thanks to everyone and we look forward to seeing you again.

If you want a hotel that will fulfill all your wishes for the perfect holiday then go to the Hotel Villa Margherita. It is way beyond the 4* rating given and will meet your highest expectations. When you enter the reception area it is an oasis of calm - greeted by the gracious staff who remember your name and are genuinely pleased to see you. The rooms are lovely - we had a de-luxe overlooking the pool. It was kept spotless by the cleaning staff with towels changed everyday. The whole staff are a team who work tirelessly and professionally always with a greeting, and a smile. Sunbathing in the beautiful garden was our idea of heaven as was eating in the restaurant and cooling off in the incredible pool. The food is wonderful - we are vegetarian but had no problem in selecting from the menu. So needless to say we will be returning next year as we know we will not find another place to rival this incredible hotel. Thank you all again.

We had the most lovely time, we stayed one week with my family. All bedrooms had a wonderful view of the sea and mountains beyond. The food was really good and the hotel was beautifully clean and comfortable. All staff were so polite and helpful, service excellent. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and lovely walks along the sea front. We had gorgeous weather and made the most of the large swimming pool. We had a marvellous stay, Thank you so much to everyone at this stunning boutique hotel.

Came home a week ago and have just re-booked for next year and I don’t normally go to the same place year after year, but actually couldn’t find anything that made us feel like this place does. Beautiful clean hotel, lovely pool & gardens, great location and welcoming staff….and amazing ice creams at the shop nearby. Thoroughly recommend

The reception staff on arrival at the hotel were welcoming and provided lots of information. It is excellent customer service being shown to your room and having the instruction on the facilities. We arrived at.9.20pm and were pleasantly surprised to find we could still have dinner. The room was a top floor room with a sea view. It was spacious and had plenty of space for storing our clothes. The bathroom was large and modern. The public areas were bright and modern. The weather was reasonably good so we sat at the tables situated outside. We choose to have dinner in the hotel and the meals were excellent. There was a choice of three dishes for each of the four courses. We were there for two weeks and didn't repeat a dish, which is very unusual. The gardens and pool area are kept very clean and tidy. The hotel is well situated in the centre of the resort. Well done to Marco and his team who run a fantastic hotel. We would very highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely holiday! Welcomed at reception when we arrived and shown to our room. We arrived at around 11AM, and they let us check in and go to our room even though it was not until 2PM. The whole trip was enjoyable and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The breakfast selection is great with savoury and sweet options. The cocktails on offer are also 10/10. The staff made the trip enjoyable, and the town itself was so clean with many restaurants and cafes to explore. Would love to return!

We have just returned from a fabulous week at Villa Margherita. Everything about this hotel was wonderful including our spacious, spotlessly clean deluxe double room, which had a gorgeous view from the balcony and a lovely bathroom with a powerful shower. The beds were comfortable and attention to detail is paid with a pair of slippers provided for each guest, together with robes and toiletries. The communal areas are kept to a very high standard with beautiful decor and the gym, pool area, hot tub and Bali beds were all a delight to enjoy. The pool is not heated but in the balmy Sardinian weather it is refreshing and very inviting. The hotel gardens are lush and filled with bright flowers and palm trees, making this the perfect place to relax. The staff are so polite and after a day or so remember your room number and what kind of hot drink you prefer, and every morning they greet you with a smile. We didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant beyond the buffet breakfast - which was great with someone for everyone - because the menu was mainly shellfish focused, which seems to be the way in Golfo Aranci, and I am allergic! But we noticed the dining area was set up each evening with a lovely ambience and I imagine the food would be great if shellfish is to your taste. If the menu had included some more traditional Italian-style food rather than the Sardinian specialities we would have eaten there. All in all, the standard of this hotel is amazing and we will not hesitate to return.

We had an awful flight over to Olbia which resulted in us landing 6 hours late at 3am. I was worried the hotel reception would close and emailed them to check, they replied immediately reassuring me they’d be waiting. Our car hire was closed and the taxi queue was huge so I rang the hotel to see if they could help, Marco went above and beyond and jumped in his car and picked us up. So kind. The Hotel Villa Margherita is a gem for sure. To start with the welcome is warm and genuine and the staff are helpful and kind, we would like to give a special mention to the lovely Eliza who gave us great advice and assistance and helped welcome us on arrival. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they offered us a gift, a personalised note and drink on arrival. The location is perfect, midway between the fishing port and the three beaches so an easy walk to all the main points of interest nearby. The hotel was wonderfully clean and the rooms were bright and airy. We stayed in a standard room on the first night then moved to a lovely executive room on the subsequent nights, both were lovely but the balcony and the view from the executive was worth the extra money. The breakfast was good and had some variety, we were happy with the selection and quality. Good coffee too! The garden is well kept and provides both sunny and shady areas to relax in. In all the hotel looks and feels like the owner and the staff take pride in it and in the experience of the guests. Would definitely recommend staying here and would be very happy to return.
