This hotel is owned by Royal Balloon, and it's where their hot air balloon tours depart. Staying here also gets you a €60 discount per person on their balloon rides, which is why we stayed for a day. The hotel is located at the very end (lowest part) of the town, so the location isn't ideal. However, the town is tiny, and it's only a ten-minute walk to the center. You can see hot air balloons from the rooftop terrace, but the view is definitely not as good as from the cave hotels situated higher up. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were better than those in the cave hotels. It was also spacious enough for four people, and the breakfast was plentiful. The biggest advantage is the great value for money. If you plan on taking a hot air balloon ride with Royal Balloon, I highly recommend staying here – you can wake up at least half an hour later!

Overall, a great experience! The room was spotless and tidy, and the environment was quiet and comfortable. The balcony view was amazing, perfect for daily relaxation, and getting around was convenient. Plus, the two cats the owner has are super cute!

Great value for money! The breakfast was plentiful and not overly Turkish, which was a nice change. Definitely recommend it. Honestly, those cave hotels costing thousands aren't really much better.

Good location and services

The room was great, and the front desk staff were very friendly, even offering us a welcome drink. This hotel seems mainly set up for those going hot air ballooning, so the facilities are pretty standard. It's perfectly fine for a one-night stay, and the bathroom was decent too. We were in the Prince House, which had a small balcony with a nice view.

Traveling solo, I was looking for something affordable, and their single room was quite a good deal! Plus, the room wasn't tiny at all; it was cozy and comfortable. What's more, this place is super close to both the hot air balloon launch sites and hiking trails – it only took me ten minutes to walk from the hotel to the trailhead. You can even wake up early and watch the hot air balloons right from there! There were lots of cats by the entrance too! Walking to the town center for food also took less than ten minutes! For breakfast, they had goat's milk, which was surprisingly good.

Excellent! The location is superb, and the entire town has a great vibe. It's great that the company also operates businesses other than hotels, so you don't have to worry about not getting a spot. Just a small heads-up: it seems some hotels here don't provide toothbrushes, or you might need to ask the front desk for them. Just something to keep in mind!

I had done this in Australia once before and was quite indecisive. By September: 1. The official website no longer had availability for the National Day holiday. 2. I contacted several travel agents on Taobao (Royal and Butterfly had nothing, but there were many lesser-known brands). 3. I contacted Trip.com and inquired with the hotel, but there was no availability (I had planned to stay at a Royal-affiliated hotel the first night to get an extra half-hour of sleep). 4. I sent an email hoping for a spot on the waiting list, but never heard back, even by the day of arrival. 5. During this time, I also asked Taobao to keep an eye out. Royal never had any openings, and I thought I might just have to choose a less-known brand or not go at all. On the day of check-in, I asked the hotel front desk directly, and they had a spot available – significantly cheaper than through an agent (first flight, $635 for two people, 16-person frame). There are many ATV rental places right outside, making it easy to choose. Burger King is a 3-5 minute walk away, and the market is just across the street. The room was very spacious.

The breakfast was delicious, I especially enjoyed the American-style scrambled eggs. The hotel is located right in Göreme, and it's just a ten-minute walk to the city center.
