Historical Goreme House

We’ve received very warm welcome and got a map of the sights at the reception. The family suit is spacious and comfortable. It was very warm in winter time too. The breakfast is traditional with a fantastic view over the mountains.

This is the worst hotel I stayed in my entire life. I travelled myself, a friend and a 10 year old. We were put in front of a staff bedroom who were the manager of the hotel. We had to get up at 5am for our balloon trip and with a child some noises were made getting up etc nothing out of the ordinary daily routine. The manager’s blonde girlfriend came out on her pyjamas and told us off and to shut up ! In our very first night!!! We thought she was a guest but later we found out they are staff members!!! We are guests and they are staff member! OMG! We complained and asked to move rooms Because we are uncomfortable because the staff is over sensitive. I think other guests would not even do this … I think the big boss came the next day and we heard them arguing and lots of shouting and they went off on the streets and we haven’t heard the rest of the argument. This is 11:30pm. I’m Not sure there is something very weird and dodgy at this hotel . I felt very unsafe and wary. We basically whispered throughout our stay because we were so scared. We did look for other hotels but with a child we decided to stay very quiet and avoid the hassle as we had a shuttle booked etc. We did not Contact our tour operators because we were scared for our safety, then we went out for the most of the day . We did not have breakfast as it was very humble and we did not like most of the things. The staff themselves made lots of noises at 11pm in and out of the room. The hotel is well Located and the other employee Volkan was quite nice to us but he couldn’t change our room or anything, we didn’t even have an apology from the manager but at least this employee was nice to us which made us feel a little bit safer. Beware , something very dodgy here with this manager. On top of this we only had room service a day before our check out ! We had a dusty room , dirty . Just terrible. I’m trying to get my money back for this horrible stay and if it was Volkan he would Definitely take care of us as there was nothing he could do for us because he did not have any power or authority. Take care Volkan and stay safe.
