Hotel+travel agency services from this hotel to be avoided.
Hotel surroundings are terrible, next to a construction dump and tire recycling. We had room with terrace view here was so terrible and depressing (please see pictures) that I have never used it.
Cleanliness of hotel could be better (towels were worn out with rips and holes), shower was not well cleaned before us and room is rather dark (like the whole house (dark), it has some creepy atmosphere). In the hotel there are no nice outdoor facilities (unlike other hotels in Turkey where you have some nice terraces or open space for breakfast e.g.).
At times there was a bad smell in the room (not clear where it came from).
Lastly please be very careful with travel agency service offered here! Cetin is a very good and quick salesman and can sell you anything, very convincing and pushy. We paid following Horse riding tour was 50EUR/PP, 2 h sunset I saw prices afterwards that were cheaper. Ride itself was good (Flower Horse Farm) but would recommend to check with them directly to make sure you pay the correct price. We had also bought green (70EUR PP) and red tour (60EUR PP, afterwards I saw prices for latter45EUR PP), all to be paid cash,.Green trip was OK (most probably also with big extra margin), red trip (by voyager agency), complete disaster. Clearly mass tourism without respect for the customer. Just treated as cattle good to open wallet that is all, quality zero.
Also to note nothing is organized here, you will be added to a group of 16 (existing group and you might be sure your bus will be full). So travel agency services here are selling services only (broker).
So if you want to be sure you pay correct price avoid extra commissions and ensure good value for money, better to walk around first, know the prices or even better pre-book via Internet.
In general Göreme is very touristic place and very fake. No locals live there. Purpose of this place is money machine, to get as much as money out of people as possible, no respect just sell (get out what you can get, empty tourist pockets, milk the cows).
The stay at this hotel and the way we were treated with the red trip offered by hotel left me with a very sour after taste after visit to Cappodacia.
For second part of holidays (unfortunately 2 nights only), we stayed in Avanos, we had much better feeling here, less commercial more honest and local prices and much more relaxed atmosphere and nice surroundings (river).
So instead of looking for a hotel in Göreme you could consider staying in Avanos (e.g. Avanos Suites – alcohol free). In Avanos, all services you need as a traveller are available also travel agencies to do Cappadocia tours, we found out that price of food and gifts in Avanos is 1/3 compared to Göreme.
