We really enjoyed the experience of making Turkish coffee ourselves and learning about the culture behind it. Getting to brew the coffee in a traditional cezve over hot sand was a highlight—it was hands-on, calming, and surprisingly meditative. Stirring slowly and watching the foam rise gave us a real appreciation for the patience and technique involved. It wasn’t just about the coffee—it was about the ritual and care that goes into it. We also had fun learning to say “Şerefe!” (cheers) before we sat down to enjoy what we made. It felt personal, authentic, and memorable. A great way to connect with tradition while actually getting to take part in it.
