Reviews of Ocean 2 You Resort Seorak Beach Hotel & Condo

Lobby was very smoky due to the barbecue site right by the lobby. The BHC Chicken at the lobby mentioned that they were on break time (since like 7pm) on New Years’ Day and never came back until next morning. We had to order BHC from a nearby hotel instead. This place is called a resort but it felt more like a chalet. Room said to be for 6 people but was really small and had only one toilet. You could hear dogs barking from other people’s units. Other than the great New Years’ Countdown Party they organised, nothing really amazing about this place.

First off, this is not a 3 star resort. It probably was at some point but it’s old and in pretty bad shape. I would say 2 star at most. It looked like they had maybe started to do some renovating and stopped. The resort advertises that they have soundproof rooms but you can hear everything from the hallway. So much so that we thought our door was open. Every word, every cry or scream from a passing child can be heard loud and clear. We had booked for 5 people but only had sleeping accommodations for 4. When I called the front desk to ask for another futon, the initial response was no… until I complained and said that this was unacceptable. The free parking was a joke. The parking lot is a public lot that anyone can use and it was a nightmare trying to find parking. It was far from everything. No house keeping so we had to constantly try to sweep away sand that you track into your room because there is sand everywhere in the hotel. I can go on and on. In short, we decided to check out a day early to find a place we could actually relax and get some rest.

The store on the first floor? The facility closes before 5pm, and there is construction going on on the first floor, and the floor is really wet because of the rain. And the elevator windows are really dirty. I think they need to clean the exterior. It was nice that there was a convenience store on the first floor and nearby, but the facilities right in front were dirty, so it didn't look that good. The only advantage was that you could see the ocean view right from the room. I think that was one thing.

I had a great start to my trip as I felt I made the right choice in choosing this accommodation thanks to the unexpected upgrade.

Because it was a weekday during the off-season, the price-to-performance ratio was really good. The location was good and parking was easy~ There was a place to separate trash on each floor, and it was nice that there was a large convenience store inside the building! The room was spacious, the bedding was clean, the kitchen was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the water pressure was good, so there was no inconvenience at all. I tried to order chicken through room service, but the BHC in the building that was supposed to be open 365 days a year seems to be closed on Mondays. I had it delivered from a different branch. The front desk staff was also kind! The cat named Pepe, which is probably the resort's cat, was also super cute. I often come to Gangwon-do to go fishing, but from now on, when I come to Goseong, I'll have to come here! I'll have a good stay~!

It was a comfortable 2-night trip with the kids at a place located near Sokcho^^ In particular, the raw fish served through room service was delicious^^

It was nice that the accommodation was well organized for a family trip, and it was great that it was located right in front of the ocean.~~~~. It was great to see the sunrise.

It was a resort that I got in a hurry, so the facilities and service were really bad for the price. I could hear everything from the hallway and the next room because of the partition wall. I was lying down and was surprised. The bathroom drain smelled bad, and the bedding smelled. I didn't wear makeup, but there was foundation on the blanket. And... I asked for more toilet paper late at night. My parents were already asleep, but when I rang the bell once, it was loud. They kept ringing it until I opened it. I was so disappointed that I don't want to go there again.

It was a pet room reservation. The free dog rental items and stroller service were good. The wind was really strong, but it wasn't cold at all. The balcony sash was really nice. The barbecue area was also nice to use. I want to go again in the summer. It was convenient to make a real-time reservation using Trip.com. I recommend it if you are traveling to Sokcho or Goseong with your pet. I made a reservation for breakfast in advance and got a discount, so I used it well. It was right in front of Sampo Beach, so The walk along the beach was really nice. There were also events, so it was fun. I'm also looking forward to the year-end fireworks.

I had a comfortable 2-night trip with the kids. The ocean is right in front, so it was nice to be able to see the sunrise right from the accommodation. The staff was friendly, too... but the water pressure in the bathroom shower was weak, and I was a little embarrassed at first because there was a smell like a sewer coming up~~

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and the room was much better than the last time, so I was very satisfied! I'm planning to make a reservation again when I come next year ^^

It looks like an old resort, but the rooms have been remodeled so it's okay. Sampo Beach is right in front, so the barbecue area is good and the prices are good.
