I discovered with wonder this incredible place which although it is a luxury hotel remains relatively accessible, it decorates the landscapes and the staff my particularly surprised I think of this young man of the name of ”Baptiste” who marked me by his optimism his energy and his good will thank you very much I recommend this place and would come back for this magnificent welcome.

Located in Petit-Bourg, Habitation Saint Charles is on a river, within a 10-minute drive of Guadeloupe National Park and Destreland. This family-friendly hotel is 9.5 mi (15.2 km) from Port of Pointe-à-Pitre and 11.3 mi (18.2 km) from Aquarium of Guadeloupe.Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers body treatments and facials. A wonderful little resort consisting of about 35 2-unit bungalows (some have lofts, so be sure you choose one that suits your mobility). The breakfast buffet included with the room rate was always freshly presented from scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage to yogurt, fruit and baked goods. Eggs can also be ordered to your preference. The bar and its staff were great offering Happy Hour specials and a selection of tapas if you wanted a break from the modern, French cuisine in their restaurant. Unless you want to drive into a nearby town this is the only restaurant in the area. Again, food and staff at main restaurant were very nice but when busy service was a bit slow with dirty dishes sitting uncleared for 20+minutes. There’s a rocky “surfer’s beach” within an easy 10 minutes walk. The nicer, calmer whit sand beach (Bois Jolan) is separated by rough terrain so pretty much not walkable. I think the resort should offer a shuttle service to/from Bois Jolan Beach! Otherwise, a beautiful pool with most chaises having (straw hut type) umbrellas. Overall, a wonderful little place to enjoy French Caribbean hospitality where the primary language, of course, is French! Limited 120v service in the rooms so bring adapters! Enjoy! We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in May, i.e. low season. We arrived at 8pm when reception was already closed but there was a sign for us with a number to call and assistance arrived within a couple of minutes. Please note that Google maps has the address for this place slightly wrong. We followed the directions and ended up a few roads further on, having to do a three point turn in the dark and with the backwheels in a ditch! The next morning the manager took us back with a few helpful blokes who managed to lift the car out without any problems, great assistance! We opted to have breakfast every morning. Whilst it may seem expensive €15.50 per person) what you pay for is having limitless breakfadt in a beautiful setting overlooking the pool. Btw, this hotel was the setting for one of the death in paradise episodes. Breakfast was buffet style with fruit, yoghurts, cheese and cold meats, , pastries, rolls, cereals and cooked eggs to order. On days where there are only very few people you have the breakfast delivered directly to you table. Whilst we were there, the restaurant was closed but we managed to sort ourselves out a quick snack from the basic food store next door (by the petrol station) and after that found a couple of larger supermarkets towards St. Rose (E Leclerc and Carrefour). Of the two, we preferred the carrefour where we also managed to buy some cheap towels for the beach. The apartments on our side had all been newly renovated and were beautifully done up. The main room has aircon enabling a good nights sleep. The bathroom feels luxurious with a walk in shower. The terrace has a small kitchen corner with a fridge, microwave and a two ring ceramic hob. There was plenty of equipment to cook for two. Mosquitos were a problem though, even with 50% deet but so far, no major effects. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Hire a car and there are plenty of attractions to explore within an hours drive.

I've spent three nights at the hotel zenitude my stay has been relatively well spent being a custom of the site I already knew where I put my feet it's a quite interesting hotel quality price it's for that I'm going there often but I'm forced to do so. to note that d'année en année il y a dégradation des lieux due à une certaine négligence notamment en ce qui concerne l'entretien des chambres qui, selon moi, n'est pas sérieusement fait ( équipement veste ; cordeau déchiré ; I had already made a previous assessment of the hotel in the context of another stay and I had already complained of many disturbances that come to the people I have just mentioned I hope that owners will react to correct everything because if there is no change I think I would choose another destination for my weekend

We arrived at the Hotel in the evening. The young lady at Reception was very friendly and helpful. The Reception area is like a counter / booth and not very impressive as an hotel reception desk. The area seemed very dated and dull. The garden that you walk through to get to your room is very pleasant as the flowers and plants gave it a tropical feel but it was fairly dark around the path. The corridor to our room was stark and with the arches that went along the wall you are able to see the pool area. As it was dark I was a little concerned that anyone could be lurking behind an arch as you're entering your room. The room was really very basic. Very old with rattan style furniture that have seen better days. After the long flight I sat on the sofa and suddenly a cockroach ran from underneath the sofa towards the coffee table. The shower was great. The pressure was really good and after the issues and delays with Air France, the long waits & flights from Europe to Guadeloupe; having a good shower was most welcoming. The bathroom itself was dated. The pillows in the room were really small for what looked like a king size bed. They looked more like cushions than pillows. There was only one thin sheet, no blankets and the AC thermostat couldn't be moved to make the room a bit warmer - the room was extremely cold. The bed was comfortable and we were able to get a decent night's sleep. The restaurant was closed although based on the time it should have been open. We decided to try and find something to eat. The area around the hotel was very dark, with not much pavement for walking, not enough street lights and the few that they had were not very bright. The hotel is located around 20 minutes from the airport with the evening traffic. The cost of the one night's stay for this basic hotel was around USD200. Definitely not worth the 4* rating.
