Spark by Hilton Grain Valley Kansas City

The hotel is comfortable and rooms are reasonable. The beds are very comfy. The breakfast wasn’t very good. They had biscuits and gravy but only 1 biscuit! The other stuff was just normal cereal, yogurt, a few pieces of fruit. The USA flag flying in front of the hotel was ripped and torn. Overall It was probably the best hotel in Grain Valley.

The staff is rude. Breakfast choices are limited. Room electrical outlets are loose - my charging cord was spotty because the plug would not stay connected. Pool was shut down for the entire weekend - claiming mechanical issues yet the water was circulating. The room key card would not allow me to enter the room the next day after checking in - the desk person blamed me for the reason the card was not working. I was extremely disappointed with this hotel - it is a shame since it is a convenient location.

There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, thick dust on picture frame tops and the lamp which had only been dusted on the front. A sad filthy broken down side chair that we avoided. The 8 bulb bathroom fixture over the mirror had 4 burned out light bulbs. Bathroom sink drain was uncomfortably slow. Then we noticed some disgusting residue on both queen headboards that had oozed down the surface from top to bottom. The pool was closed. Not a big deal but we noticed no hot food had been prepared in the breakfast area. We had checked in late and were tired from our drive so did not ask to change rooms. Funny thing was that we were told at checkin that this room had been recently updated!

I was informed at check OUT that this is not a Comfort Inn so no longer under the Choice Hotel brand. The rate on my reservation which was booked through the Choice Hotel App was not honored. Breakfast was not ready at 6:30 as stated, not even coffee or a pastry in the breakfast room. I have notified Choice Hotels that this property is given their brand a bad name. DO NOT stay here if you are looking to book a Choice property.

We stayed at this location going west and then back east across the country. Front desk night staff was very helpful with obtaining extra linens for our room on both stays. Room was clean. No extra toilet paper or tissues in the room. Limited bath toiletries (enough for one person's shower-fortunately one of us had brought extras). Breakfast offerings were mediocre at best-eggs did not taste like real eggs. We would stay at this hotel again while traveling but not if we had to stay more than one night.

We stayed at the comfort inn for 3 days and it was indeed very comfortable! The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The shower worked great and we had hot water immediately and all the time. The best part of staying here was their breakfasts. They offered many breakfast items including sausage and eggs, waffles, toast, yogurts, fruit, biscuits and gravy, and cereal. It was all delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Checked in a little later in the evening. Front desk staff were super friendly, really set the tone for the stay. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was ok, little bit hard and didn't really help after a long day of driving, but it was a bed and were able to sleep. Breakfast was ok. Location was convenient.
