I have been here for three years now. Since then, nothing has been done to the apartment. Some of the sockets are broken or worn out. The kitchen cupboards greeted me with coffee stains and fingerprints from the previous occupant. There are no sharp knives. The kitchen utensils are old and rare. Nobody keeps up with the times here, and the coffee machine is even worse. When I opened the balcony door, I was greeted by sand and dirt. The balcony walls are covered in pigeon legacies. The balcony windows are completely smeared. The parasol has been broken and old for three years. The curtains are also broken. You can tell that the cleaning staff have far too much to do. Recently, you are no longer allowed to use the two barrier-free exits of the complex during the day, so you have to constantly carry your bike up the stairs to reception. This is absolutely disadvantageous and, in my opinion, unnecessary. The complex itself is very well looked after, but the apartments are left to run down. The WiFi Connection is very bad and slowly. It's a shame, because the cost of accommodation is not a bargain either. maybe it is better in the other apartments, I was always in the same one - at my own request. The staff is very very friendly - especially the cleaning ladies and the facilities manager.

From the base we could not stay in the hotel that we had booked for air-conditioning problems I think I remember , they relocated us in a much better one and with exceptional services both in conditions of the hotel Hotel like staff.

We are staying in Axelbeach now for the second year in a row. It offers us everything we could want for a hotel: big and clean rooms (basically a small appartment), a beautiful and well kept garden with both shade and sun, a sizeable big pool (with always enough sunbeds for everyone), a very good breakfast (full English but with healthy options with fresh fruits and fibres, too) and all that in the middle of the day/ nightlife of Playa: 5 minutes walk from the Yumbo. One gets very good value for money here. To top this all off - the staff is very friendly and helpfull - with a personal touch. They remembered us from last year and we were welcomed back as old friends. Thank you for your warm welcome Kevin - it is much appreciated! We felt well truly pampered during our stay. The hotel is tastefully furnished & clean. Our room was a little on small side.(sea view double). Housekeeping was excellent including ample supply of bath beach & poolside towels. Breakfast was good excellent service & setting. Roof top panoramic views. The 3 pools, whirlpool & surrounds were v clean & well maintained. The evenings in the roof top lounge sipping cocktails idyllic

The first room had two single beds shoved together. We asked for a double bed “cama matrimonial” and we’re given a second room that was completely inacceptable. The door was broken, it wouldn’t shut properly, the shower door sealant was half off, the toilet would flush, the sink wouldn’t drain, and the soap dispenser was broken. The front desk arranged for us to have an acceptable room which was an upgrade and completely functional. However it took 2 room changes and when they moved our things they tossed a half bottle of premium red wine. And to be fair, they offered a second bottle of decent wine, but why toss our wine?
