Holiday Inn APPLETON by IHG

The staff were friendly, however the hotel didn’t appear very clean. Staining on carpets in hallways and the rooms, materials smeared on elevator walls, stained bedding.

We were in town for a family wedding and I reserved 3 rooms for us. My family showed up to check in and they were denied access because I was not physically present (I was coming later). Even though my wife is included in my profile they could not get in. My wife, daughter, and daughter-in-law had copies of the reservation but they would not honor them. The desk personal (Wendy) was very rude and would not help. I talked to her on the phone and she said she would not help. After I called ******* customer service and spent 30 minutes on the phone they got access to 1 room - this delay caused them to be late for the wedding. When we returned to the hotel after the wedding I went to check-in for the remaining rooms and Wendy refused to help me and told me to go to another desk worker. The rooms I had booked that included breakfast for everyone - the next morning they announced that the kitchen would be closed. Our experience was terrible and I did not get what I had expected or paid for. I would like to get some compensation back for the missing breakfast and a refund of my points that I had used for these reservations. As a Platinum their member I would expect better!

Had a wonderful time my daughter's loved swimming. Enjoyed talking with not only the employees but the other guests. The employees were so helpful and personable wendy and Joyce or Janice were supper nice and went above and beyond. The breakfast was wonderful and delicious and fresh.

Customer services are so poor, the breakfast buffet, low in quality, they need to clean more often all the floors

Nothing - TV was out of service and the hotel was beyond dirty !!!! Lame excuses !

Key for me staying here was the electric car charging. The fact that the staff and property were both excellent was a plus!

We were given the keys to the initial room we and when we entered, there was another family in the room. The mom was taking a shower and the kid was watching tv. It was really embarrassing and could have been much worse. Holiday Inn blamed it on training. I called the manager and the best they could do for us was give us $50 off the room. She said the family in the room were the victims, not us. I won’t be staying there again with that attitude. Also, we prepaid for breakfast online and the waitress was so confused. I’ll have to look but I might have been charged twice. We didn’t have a good experience at all.

Only stayed one night before catching a flight the next morning. I would stay again.
