Cozy retreat ! Spacious family friendly 10 minutes away from downtown

DO NOT STAY HERE. They have no regard for safety and have no idea what a clean space is. Dead bugs on the floor. Flies everywhere. The locks on the doors were not secure. Carpets are disgusting. Location is in a bad part of town. I can not say enough about how bad the place was. Dont even try to contact the host they will give the most minimal response. Had no idea how to check in or out. If i could have given a 0 rating i would.

Not what I had expected or hoped for. The neighborhood was less than ideal. Neighbor across the street had a mattress on the curb. The house next door had a sheet for curtains.No driveway, street parking only.The small, fenced front yard was clean.House was a “duplex”. The other apartment had a dishwasher and a plastic Santa on their side of the front porch.I was notified through Vrbo that the key was in the mailbox. No other instructions.Front door opened to a narrow staircase to a second floor apartment. THAT wasn’t mentioned in the listing.Apartment was old, but clean. That is about the best I can say overall.I originally booked for four people. It should have been six and I notified the owner of my error, last minute. Listing said “sleeps 8”. There were 2 queen beds and a sofa. There was supposed to be a queen air mattress but we couldn’t find it.We found 3 bath towels in a closet. No hand towels or wash cloths.Kitchen had two full sized refrigerators. One was not working. The other was cold but the freezer wasn’t working. There was dish soap but no sponges, wash cloths, or dish/hand towels. There were plenty of paper towels, though.I never messaged the owner because we were there for one night and it didn’t seem like it was worth the effort. Price was reasonable for G.R. area, but still, very disappointing compared to other places I have booked.The last thing I can say is that the door opening to the actual apartment has 4 differs locks on the inside. Let that be a warning.

Okay for a short stay This vrbo is okay for a short stay. The overall cleanliness was far below average for what expectations should be (crumbs on the counter etc). The low price makes it kind of worth it to stay if you are only planning one or two nights. Will say I would not stay here alone. Although I wouldn’t consider the neighborhood super unsafe, I also wouldn’t feel comfortable being in this location alone. Ps: the host was TERRIBLE at responding. Asked multiple times weeks prior for early check in, no response. They finally responded to our request the day of at 6pm (check in was 4pm so useless by that time). Zero instructions on check in, told us an hour before we got there and it was barely any info.
