After a long work day, I was welcomed by a most friendly Keisha at the front desk. I travel a lot for work and she was above and beyond by any standard. Very pleasant stay and very friendly service. Top notch. Thank you to everyone at the Courtyard Grand Rapids, well done. This place is anything you need and more in Grand Rapids.

lipstick on a pig this review is long we stayed for 10 days I didn't look at the reviews when I booked my fault, first the front desk is a little weird it's two hotel combined together so you have to know which side you booked your reservation on so they know which side of the desk to find you under. they have remodeled the common areas and it really is like putting a bandaid on a bullet hole there are so many issues that pretty flooring and counter tops can't hide. first of all, the picture of the front / parking lot looks like someone used a makeover filter on it....  does it look like that? maybe in 1984 it did Disappointment results from thoughts and expectations being out of line with reality. I was looking for a hotel for an extended stay that wouldn't break the bank with breakfast and a pool, couldn't use the pool, breakfast was non existent and I was charged 998.41 no deals for long stays or discount for poor service as promised (see below). my card was charged 908, 157, 344, 653 as Hold amounts then the full 998 upon check out that's a total of $3062.18 in Hold charges that take week to fall off!!!!!! who has that kind of extra money? when I asked the front desk they said oh it doesn't do that(absolutely cluelessness is a theme here) ice machine supposedly on every floor according to the evening kid, 4th floor gone, 3rd floor out of order sign on it, 2nd floor no note just didn't work or do anything, 1st floor worked a tiny little bit the first day got a single bucket to fall in about ten minutes. no ice the rest of the time. Amenities listed • 24-Hour Reception Desk night clerk super rude ans unhelpful. young kid in the last afternoon/evening is absolutely clueless and speaks like he is stoned. • Bus/Truck Parking good sized lot • Business Center not applicable to my stay • Daily Housekeeping what a joke if you are staying over you have to request service, requested service three days in a row before I finally got the trash picked up and new towels. person at the desk on the thrid try said id get a discount on my room rate, checked on that two other times and and check oit and noone knew anything about it or how to do that, i totally understand conservation of manpower and time but we stayed 10 days and had to request clean sheets and towels at the halfway point. • Early Check-in Available I'm a platinum rewards member one of the perks is free early check in they didn't know how to do that so I was charger $35 to drop off my luggage an hour early • Elevators stinky, skunky smell dirty,  gross, sticky puddles, trash, the one on the right shakes like it's about to break • Express Check-out sure they are very happy to take your money and kick you out • Fitness Center didn't see it. in my ten day stay • Free Coffee & Breakfast Item first the website and the rewards app still list this hotel as a full free breakfast (one of the two reasons i chose it the other was the pool) gross Luke warm light brown (tea colored) coffee

Been here on multiple occasions, there are plenty of reasons to choose this hotel if you don't want to overpay and still get a decent stay, rooms are basically what you would expect. And they are clean. Getting the room you would like is sometimes an issue if it's not the off season.

Bad again. Where to start. First no glasses of any kind, not even plastic. How does one rinse after brushing teeth. Horrible! No bottled water. No breakfast. Room comes with kitchen but no sink and no silverware, dishes, nothing. 6 empty cupboards. When you set the room temp. on the thermostate it only holds the setting a couple of hours. Stayed because it had free parking. But, not worth it. My h more I could ad but tired of it all.

This was quite a disappointment. First off, there are two massive signs by the road that say Baymont and Days Inn, but only one building. There was absolutely no signage on the building itself. My husband went inside and figured out the two places merged I guess. The lobby was decent and there was a huge breakfast area (which was supposed to be included). This turned out to be packaged muffins and coffee. :( Also, from the parking lot, the exterior was nothing like the pictures online. It was run down, dirty, ****s and trash everywhere and broken windows of some of the rooms. The hallways smelled terrible and there was trash everywhere. Our room looked fairly normal but then we discovered a destroyed phone, broken tv, and a toilet seat falling off the toilet and burn holes in the comforter. We requested another room, which we were granted and though a little better, there were still burn holes in the second rooms comforter, the shower rod was falling off the wall, loose toilet seat, tv's connection worked but would go black after a few minutes (as if it was going in sleep mode). Ironing board but no iron, and overall just looked like it wasn't vacuumed or cleaned well. We booked two nights but only stayed one & left and went somewhere else. Very disappointed and wished we could get a refund for that night. We're not uptight people when we travel, can handle imperfections of hotel rooms but this was by far the worst stay we've had and just too many problems to not address.
