Unusual experience last night at the Fonda Europa. After a hard day's work and after having something to eat, I go to Reception to be assigned the room that I had reserved for days. The young receptionist looks stunned as he acknowledges my reservation but says it has been inexplicably canceled by he doesn't know by whom. A system failure that insists on deciphering uselessly for 50 minutes! until he gives up and decides to put me up in a room that luckily had been left free. He hands me the electronic card for room 212. I head exhausted after the desperate wait but the door does not open. I go downstairs, tell him and with a certain snub he accompanies me but he can't open it either. He goes up and down a couple more times until 20 minutes later he manages to open it. At 1:15 in the morning I finally get into the damn room and fall asleep. At 7 I get up and decide to take a shower but the hot water doesn't come out. Incredulous and stupefied, I go to reception to complain and settle the bill. They apologize for the inexperience of the night manager and in a fit of generosity he says that they will keep the original price of my reservation -110 €!- and that they invite me to breakfast. ”No, thanks. I'm in a hurry” and I rush out never to return.

I visited this hotel in June and July. It had been recommended to me by a friend, who was in the nearby hospital. I think the price quality is excellent. The staff were very helpful too. 24 hour tea/coffee making is very welcome and the buffet breakfast had a range of options, the fruit being the best. There is a Mercadona next door and some pleasant walks nearby. The hotel is situated 30 minutes walking distance from the centre, or about 8€ in a taxi

I saw this hotel from a distance when I passed by in 2019. At that time, I wanted to stay at this hotel once when I had the opportunity to come again next time. This time I got my wish and stayed. Great hotel!

Just returned from a week stay at the hotel. The hotel is super clean and offers a gd bfast. However I hate to say that we r soo disappointed with the approach of the receptionists. We r a family of 5 ... 2 adults and 3 kids and thus had 2 interconnecting rooms. By mistake one of the kids locked one of the rooms with the chain and thus could not open the door. We asked the receptionists (2 young ladies) to help us out. After something like an hour waiting they told us that the maintence guy cannot be reached. We asked for a scew driver to unscrew the chain and they told us with have to give our visa no as these were d instructions. Of course we refused and after another hr or so, I had to reexplain that I had imp medication in the room and couldn't no spend the night outside without it. Only then did one of the them decide to come up and see my husband unlock the chain in 2 mins! No apologies nothing.... On another day we asked how we can get to some funpark with kids. Since we didn't have a car they told us that it is practically impossible. It is clear they (once again the 2 ladies) have no idea.... Absolutely.... How to inform clients how to get there. We had to ask locals to help us.... And we managed Illa fun park and also Porta Avventura with no hassle at all using a train! Unbelievable. When we needed a taxi a helpful receptionist, Marc always called for us and the taxi came in no time. However when we asked the same 2 receptionists.... They wanted to give us the number of the driver and we had to call. Im so sorry to complain however I believe that the receptionists have to have basic manners and information skills to direct their clients in a decent manner. The situation was so hilarious that sometimes I thought they were playing some joke on us😶

I put you 5 points, though if you could put you more because it is a super well located place where the rooms are spectacular and even if it was only one night we spent there the attention was perfect and amazing. I saw it like a chance for BOOKING and the truth that super happy, as well as that they had an offer at that amazing moment, I will go back this very clear.
