Overall a pretty bad experience. The communal areas are nice but the rooms are old and worn. The cot they provided for our baby was broken and they just supplied loose bedding to go in it which was a major suffocation hazard. However, our main issues were with the leisure facilities. The pool only had limited hours of use for kids which was not advertised anywhere prior to booking and one member of the gym staff told us untrue information about the gym to try and stop us using it and when questioned about it, he outright threatened my husband who was holding our 9 month old at the time. He was so unnecessarily rude and aggressive. Awful experience.

Very pleasant stay. Staff were lovely. Swimming pool with the kids was very nice and a large size. Didn’t feel too cramped despite being busy. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed and large pillows very nice. Restaurant food was top quality and lovely meal and service. They delivered again with a top well cooked breakfast buffet. Will definitely visit again.

This is a nice enough hotel with lovely views at the rear but it’s not worth the price tag.
Our room had comfy beds and pillows but the bathroom was in a state of disrepair (wood panelling discoloured a nasty brown or falling apart) and really tainted the overall experience, given the price. There was also dust/cobwebs on the toilet pedestal so it was clear that cleaning needs more attention to detail in some areas.
Reception staff were great but bar/restaurant was lacking - bar staff not knowing what a shandy was, waited about half an hour for chips and onion rings only for them to arrive cold and have to re-order. Then had to chase the re-order. Not the standard I expected. Breakfast was good, great veggie sausages which is a plus.
Spa was what you’d expect for a golf/conference type hotel, average but nothing particularly special.
If I’m paying £200 a night, I’d expect better overall.

Enjoy staying here, but I feel the food is not as good as it used to be. Options for dinner were unexciting, so opted for fish and chips which was mediocre.

Hotel was good and service good, breakfast excellent but three minor issues:
The hotel is very long so watch out for walking miles albeit along a corridor although you can park your car closer if you drive.
The fridge in my room was possessed by a demonic presence around 5am making ungodly noises where I couldnt sleep - bed was great fridge wasn't.
Breakfast was good but only one out of 3 coffee machines were working which was bad and led to queues.

The Customer Service from Olivia on the Reception is outstanding! She is so friendly and makes you feel welcome, as soon as you arrive at the Reception.
The spa facilities are fantastic.
We had Afternoon Tea, which was lovely.
The bar area is lovely and the staff are friendly.
I would only a a fairly small snag, they should offer non diet mixers, not everyone wants diet and sugar free, as it has a terrible after taste.

Not VIP standard. Upgraded room to include mini bar and coffee machine. But in the morning found there was only one coffee pod for two people. Breakfast was good but restaurant food was not good at all. Staff were very cold.

I had to report that kettle was faulty, it would not switch off, with the steam causing a pain to my fingers, luckily I managed to run them under the cold tap
