Garden Park Guest House (Grantown-on-Spey) was wonderful. My wife and I are back from a 3-day whiskey guided tour in the Scottish Highlands. We had the good fortune of staying at Daniel and Sarah's Garden Park Guest House. The wood fire was burning as we arrived. Our room was named after the Grant Clan. It was HUGE and the newly renovated ensuite washroom was generously large as well. We learned that we were the first guests to enjoy this room since the renovations. Our room was properly insulated, fitted out with double/triple glazed windows and as a result, it was WARM (unlike most of the hotel rooms in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and London on this vacation). The water pressure was fabulous. Lastly, the food in the morning was so good that we felt spoiled. Almost everything from Sarah’s Birchermüesli to the bread and the jam, was homemade. Other choices included cereal, juice(s), coffee, sausage, bacon, haggis, etc. In a word: Delicious! (I enjoyed each of the above and more each morning but, alas, I forgot to take photos of the breakfasts! (My bad)). Thank you for your hospitality. Congratulations and best wishes for your continued success. Your fans from Canada. Michael and Jo'Ann PS Thank you for emailing us the recipe for your Birchermüesli. PPS Rob, the owner of Craig's Bar just down the street (90 seconds away) is politically incorrect in every way and HILARIOUS. Walk down for some good-natured insults/abuse and some Guinness and pies.

Excellent service from cozy living room (with fireplace!), tasty breakfast, and spectacularly comfortable rooms. Daniel and Sarah are thoroughly friendly and kind. Easy to find and well-located. Would recommend.

This is a beautiful house owned and operated by a lovely couple. It is a warm and welcoming guesthouse. My husband and I spent 4 nights here while we toured around the area. The owners of the guest house were also super helpful in getting us connected with tour guides to take us out on whisky tours one day. The breakfasts were terrific and they offered a lot of healthy options outside of a typical English breakfast. I enjoyed a lot that they had to offer being someone with sensitive eating needs My only complaint would be the bed. We had a king bedroom and the bed was 2 twins pushed together, which is something I am used to in the UK. Our issue was that we are both tall and the duvets were very small for the beds. We have experienced this same setup in Europe before. The duvets do not come over the sides of the mattress. They are the exact same size as the top of the mattress so that when you are under them and you move you become exposed. They did offer wool blankets but there were no top sheets and putting the blankets directly on our skin wasn't comfortable. I also think they should have king-size pillows for that size bed set up. The heating blankets under the sheets was a nice touch! There is a lovely living room/lounge area with a beautiful fireplace. It was very comfortable for a relaxing rainy day of reading.

The hosts Daniel and Sarah have made this place special they work so hard to ensure their guests have everything they need. The rooms are warm and comfortable the large communal lounge has a log burner which provides a lovely warmth and relaxed ambiance. Breakfast is delicious with a good choice of cereals and homemade yogurts the Scottish freshly cooked breakfast is delicious with haggis and black pudding to select if you wish to. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit family.

Friendly. Clean. Well appointed. Good location. All you could wish for from a Highland getaway for a couple. Excellent woodland walks straight out of the door. A very enjoyable holiday. The cottage is small but high spec.

We had a lovely stay in Butterfly cottage. It was really well equipped and immaculately clean. It was well situated for the whisky trail and the Spey side wood. Perfect location for cycling, walking and kayaking.
