ILita Lodge offers great views and is situated in a prime location. The exterior is well maintained. However, the interior and the furniture needs a serious upgrade. The furniture is old and full of scratches. The sheets had me sleeping on the edge of the bed. I was not comfortable with the level of cleanliness at all. The interior is deserving of a one star* and the exterior deserves a four star****.  The staff is friendly and allowed me to have a late check out. I recommend an upgrade of the interior furnishings.

The cleaners forgot to clean the room both days. the first day we went out on the morning and we we got back there was a random wifi technician left alone in our apartment going from room to room, trying to fix the wifi. It was a bot awkward, and when i asked him for privacy in our apartment, all he said was that he HAD to fix the wifi. The wifi was never fixed anyway. The beds are also very uncomfortable. That said, i think if this hotel was run better, it would be a gem, but as it stands, although its a beautiful place, i wouldn't go back, even both pools were out of order.

Ilita Lodge had very friendly staff that were willing to help us and accommodate us. We loved the location, it was beautiful. Just a recommendation, that cleanliness just needs to be looked at, especially bathrooms and couches.

After we had a serious problem with our self-catering unit, the wonderful staff at Ilita lodge reacted very quickly and offered us new accommodation and made an immediate effort to fix the problem in the first unit. We felt very well cared for. We are so impressed and grateful for the excellent service.

Fantastic Accommodation with the most beautiful views 180 degrees of the Indian Ocean. Stylish and spacious rooms with all needed amenities. Ample secure parking and very secure. Very close to top restaurant's and to beaches and a lot to explore in the area. George and Mossel bay is on their doorstep. Friendly and very helpful staff always willing to go that extra mile. Ideal for small groups, families and even those single traveler. Highly recommended.

Great views, disappointing service . We stayed in the 3 bedroom self catering unit. On arrival at 4pm we were told the unit was not ready and when it was finally ready it was very dirty

If you want peace and quite you have it here. Located on top of the hill this is a well appointed place with large and comfortable rooms, attached balconies and an open area with small swimming pool overlooking the sea. Linen and toiletries are of good quality. The breakfast is continental though little meagre. The staff is energetic, curteous and helpful. There is a small book collection too. Cleanliness was maintained.

Spectacular views, great service and the most wonderfully spacious aprtment with views across the whole bay! It was so nice to sit on the outside terrace at night and watch the twinkling lights of Mossel Bay in the distance. Our stay was a real treat, thank you Jannes and team :)

We arrived for a birthday celebration and decided to sit inside as birthday lady turned 82. We ordered drinks and waited...10minutes later she came to get our orders for the eats...and we waited one and a half hours! Then the cake arrived. 10min later the pancakes. But one person short. So we asked again. Now it was 2hours since we arrived. They said they will bring the cinnomen pancakes...and they did, but it was cold and no sugar just cinnomen?! So the lady - a friend of the birthday lady, said dont worry I am not going to eat this cold pancakes anyway. Everyone has eaten their food already and we just asked for the bill. Worst service since we've been bringing guests here in the last 8 years. Bad bad bad!

We were a table of 6 people celebrating my mother’s 82nd birthday. We waited 1hr for our food of which 2 was only cake and 1 plain cinamon pancake. The pancake came a half an hour after the rest of the 5 guests received their food. The pancake was for a lady who was 88years’s old. It was dry and cold with no sugar, hence she did not eat it.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I have traveled extensively (49 countries) and think this is one of most beautiful properties I have visited. The views are sweeping and spectacular. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfasts were yummy. The employees are kind and professional. I am a travel agent and will recommend Ilita Lodge to all of my clients traveling the Garden Route in South Africe.

A combination of hotel rooms and self-catering accommodation in an idyllic setting in the hills overlooking the Great Brak River valley and the Indian Ocean seafront. The views are simply wonderful, the restaurant and coffee shop offer good food at reasonable prices (especially on Tasty Tuesday, when there is a 1 for 1 offer at the coffee shop). The self-catering accommodation comes equipped with all the mod cons. Only downside is that there is no public transport to speak of, so you will need a car to get to/from the Lodge. The town is a nice 10-15 minute downhill walk, but getting back is ALL UPHILL. The small local town has art shops and a few cafes, but do not miss the Grasshopper factory outlet, where quality locally-made shoes and bags can be had for a fraction of their high street or on-line prices. There are private game reserves within a 30-minute drive offering viewing of some of the "big 5", and the town of Mossel Bay is nearby. Staff and service was extremely warm, friendly and helpful.
