May be one of my new favorite hotels in the world! The service and the accommodations at this reserve were some of the nicest we have ever experienced. My three kids loved the kids club and were thrilled to go on some kid only adventures, chill out and watch a movie, and play pool! This allowed my husband and I to thoroughly enjoy the dinners and wine pairings. The wait staff and sommelier were fantastic. We celebrated our anniversary durning this trip and the staff and Grootbos went above and beyond our expectation. I definitely recommend this reserve and hope to return in the future!

Grootbos is exceptional in every way. This is the best accommodation we have ever booked. From the balcony a breath taking panorama unfolds showcasing majestic mountains, vibrant wild fynbos, white beaches and glistening sea punctuated by whales breaching, it was stunning. Everything was perfect, fantastic staff, wonderful food, great 4 x 4 flower drives, whale watching. Delve into the heart of nature at Grootbos will not be disappointed.

Beautiful countryside but for the cost of the tour , we would not repeat it. There was very little fynbos in flower in April. Might be an idea not to do tours if there is not much to see. A fair amount of time was spent at the florigium which we would have rather done on our own. The lunch was by far the highlight, beautifully set in an old house- using fynbos ingredients and absolutely delicious. We felt that this restaurant should form part of the painting display area- thus allowing one to spend much more time there.
