Borgo Del Cabreo

This was our favorite hotel during our 20+ day tour of Italy. From the check-in with Mattia to the morning breakfasts we found the staff to be excellent. Breakfast was wonderful each morning, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms themselves elegant. Would definitely stay here again. We were traveling with my daughter and her family so we had four rooms and everyone enjoyed the stay. The pool was heated and had beautiful views.

Spent 3 weeks in Italy this was by far our favourite stop - it was perfect but you need a car to get here as a taxi from Florence was expensive wish they offered a shuttle to town and their winery were stunning but it was costly to travel from the hotel. Don’t let that discourage you from visiting- it really was spectacular

What a wonderful find!! This place is spectacular. The staff is wonderful, suites are spotless, well appointed snd very comfortable beds. The grounds are so beautiful. You will be blown away and the wine from their winery is amazing. Recommend

It's rare I give a hotel 5 star rating, but this is one. Everything here delivered as promoted, and more. Firstly how nice to receive such a warm friendly welcome, especially when one arrives well before normal check-in time. Immediately offered to relax in the garden or go down by the pool, showed where to change, provided towels and a lovely welcome glass of wine. We were particularly fortunate as were upgraded to The Villa which is totally wonderful, would highly recommend! Views from everywhere are stunning in ALL directions, it's like 'surround sound' without the noise! The staff are wonderful, thanks to Michele and Matteo plus various gardeners/ maintenance staff who keep property immaculate and beautiful and of course the breakfast ladies, all charming and welcoming. Breakfast was superb. The pool was perfect temperature, comfortable sun loungers, all so relaxing, this is the reason to come here. If we came back to this region, would not waste time looking to book anywhere else. Only this time stay for longer than our 2 nights. Recommendations: - having a car though so if you want to explore the region or go into town for a restaurant, its a very steep walk back. - booking in advance dinner at their sister hotel Pietro Del Cabreo which is an easy 10 minute walk up the road. Food was exquisite and stunning setting of course. - staying longer than 2 nights :) Hopefully will be back!

What an idyllic location ! Perched a little way above Greve this wonderful retreat is a perfect haven. A beautifully relaxed location with wonderful views of vineyards, rolling hills and cypress trees- couldn’t be better! Rooms are extremely spacious and very well stocked and the staff are a joy. Breakfasts are magnificent and it is easy to get into Greve for a meal. Lovely swimming pool and grounds. I cannot recommend it enough.

This has been the most worthwhile adventure we’ve done on a while. Would do again 10/10, as we’re driving down the road we’re thinking of cancelling our hotel for the next place and staying one more night to relax. It has one of the biggest hotel rooms at a reasonable price. So much so that it will truly surprise you. We have paid more for more space and we’ve gotten less than what we got here. The view of this place is amazing (see photos attached. The people are very quiet usually and it gives you a chance to relax. It has a pool, but lacks a gym from what I know. This is the perfect place to bring preparedness before you go to the hotel at all. Whenever you go to the hotel be sure to inform the time of your arrival as the reception closes 8 PM SHARP. If you don’t inform of your late arrival you may not be proportioned the correct measures. Some examples include; No key for room, no code for gate to enter. Another thing to be aware is that the walk to the hotel is long and hard, you will have to go up. Be sure to also know where you’re going as if you make a wrong turn it might prompt you to the back entrance which the GATE CODE DOES NOT WORK. The main entrance will have a light up stone sign of the hotel. In conclusion, try to have fun in this place inside the hotel as much as you can as the experience both In the room and outside give you less people which will in turn be more quiet, equals more peace. This place deserves less shopping and perfect for relaxing.

Borgo del Cabreo is located in the center of Greve in Chianti, a wonderful area of Tuscany. The staff is very nice and accomodating. The rooms are absolutely exceptional. Wow... just wow... The views are absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast in the morning, exceptional. This boutique hotel is worth every penny. Just book it, you won't regret it. P.S. disregard the recent comment of someone saying there's nothing to do here. It's in a remote village approx 30 mins from Florence. The person that wrote that review obviously booked their accommodation in the wrong part of town.

My wife and I came here for the second leg of our honeymoon. I believe it was $380 euro/night and we were very excited to be here. All previous information we found said it was a short walk to town. When we arrived, the reception attendant said there was no taxis or Ubers in Greve. We ended up walking into town for dinner, and the walk back was an absolute pain in the ass. Rent a car if you plan on coming here. Sitting by the pool with about ten other people was so quiet I felt like if I sneezed the wrong way I’d be kicked out. Nothing to really do around here if you don’t have a car
