Best Five Star Hotels in Gstaad

My recent visit to the Gstaad Palace was full of anticipation, looking forward to enjoying lunch while admiring the views. However, an unexpected incident overshadowed this pleasant moment. As I left the restaurant, I was confronted by a policeman, who claimed that the hotel had accused me of theft, based simply on my youthful appearance and single status. Shortly after the incident, I received a phone call and email from management expressing their sincere apologies. Their proactive approach in contacting me personally, acknowledging the mistake and expressing sincere remorse was both unexpected and much appreciated. Despite their apology, the experience was truly unpleasant. I appreciate their acknowledgement and their efforts to rectify the situation, but it's important to stress that it was a difficult situation to live through. I sincerely hope that such situations will be rare in the future, and that steps will be taken to avoid similar misunderstandings. However, knowing that the Gstaad Palace is committed to resolving problems with humility offers reassurance for future visits. In summary, my experience at Gstaad Palace was not defined solely by the incident, but rather by the care and dedication shown by management in its aftermath.

Le Grand Bellevue is a gracious and elegant hotel with a gorgeous backdrop of the surrounding mountain vista - a perfect place to experience the Swiss countryside in the picturesque Saanen area of the Bern canton. The hotel is well located right at the entrance to the main village street which is pedestrian only. Lovely restaurants and shopping boutiques! We stayed for 3 nights in September and absolutely loved this hotel. Our room was delightful and comfortable with a spacious, beautiful bathroom. Spectacular views can be enjoyed from any hotel in Gstaad, but the best feature of this hotel is definitely the staff, who were all so warm, friendly and professional and go above and beyond to make your stay as wonderful as possible. A special commendation for the ever present and obliging concierge, Olivier, who is a multilingual phenomenon - always ready to help and made arrangements for dinner bookings, taxis, whatever we needed. Right from before our arrival, we were contacted by staff to ensure everything we needed for our stay could be anticipated and any prior arrangements made for us. We can't say how impressed we were with the top quality service, professionalism of the amazing staff at this 5-star, boutique hotel in Gstaad! We hope to return sometime. This was the most cost effective, our stay in Gstaad was for several days only It is true to name it’s sake, it truly is “A place in heaven” We were picked up ( free of charge) at the train station ( public transportation is so convenient, reasonably price, easy to maneuver, and you can’t beat the VIEWS )by Tim Matti( one of the owners) Short ride to Hotel. The Hotel is impeccable, very friendly accommodating staff, there’s a restaurant on premises( they provide room service). Menu is varied, typical of European fanfare, we loved the variety of crepes, Pizza delicious ( blia, all local fresh ingredients) Our room had two closets, a very small keyed safe. Queen size Comfy bed, shower( no tub),blow dryer. There’s a pool, a spa( reservations are required) They provide Bikes, there’s a play ground for children It is very convenient to everything Gstaad has to offer
