Casas del Toro Playa Flamingo

We expressed our concern with the facility of their inability to offer the accommodation as advertised in *******. first the room bathroom was not functional, could not be flushed and the shower was not working. Also the tv in the room was not functional. We had booked two nights and ended up checking out following morning and did lay out these concerns with front desk.. The facility manager did not even want to talk to us. The rate for the facility is a -2. The 2nd night should be refunded as the facility accommodation was sub standards

10/10!!! The hotel is great but the service by management is 12/10 off the charts! I can promise we will be back and this is one of the rare properties that I will give lots of recommendations for. Thanks!!

I love this hotel. The location is very good close to the beach. The staff is excellent and very informative and helpful. Very clean. The beds are very comfortable. I would recommend going to this hotel. They also started serving food. That's very good.

I stayed at Casa del Toros for two weeks in May 2023 while attending the CPI Spanish Immersion program for medical Spanish.The first thing you need to know: a family of howler monkeys lives in the trees on the property. Now, if you do not enjoy and are not fascinated by howler monkeys, I am very sorry for you and you should not stay here. For me, howler monkey television is the hottest show to sit in many of the stunningly manicured gardens and watch for hours on end. The next thing: Casa del Toros has hotel rooms, which are pretty standard hotel rooms; or apartments. The apartments are amazing! Mine had a full living room, dining room, and full kitchen with full size refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, and microwave. I had 2 TVs, ceiling fans throughout, and a bathroom that rivals a Las Vegas hotel bathroom. There is a restaurant on property that makes amazing pancakes, nachos, salads, and is happy to bring it to you to enjoy poolside. I loved how meticulous the daily cleaners were and how genuinely lovely the entire staff was. I will be back twice this year to continue my medical Spanish studies and I am staying here again.

We stayed here to attend the CPI language school and were so pleased with these accommodations. Our room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was local fare, and staff were all lovely and helpful. Playa Flamnigo is hot this time of year, so the beautiful green courtyard in the hotel was a welcome reprieve, as was the lovely pool.

We had amazing stay with our family. The hotel with its restaurant, pool etc is so beautifully arranged and the hotel personell is most welcoming and so friendly. Thank you for an awesome stay! As soon as we come back to Costa Rica, we will come back to your hotel too!

This was a hotel in a gated community, so we were given gate opener to come and go which was great! It felt safe. Parking in front of building. Room was large/spacious, very clean, wall unit with shelves for clothes/articles but didn't have clothes hanger. coffee maker/fridge/TV. Room had plenty of light. Small two-person sofa which we easily turned around to view TV. Beds were comfy and clean. Bathroom was nice, but not enough of lighting. However, outside of bath was a good mirror with good lighting. Shower head was one that rained down from ceiling, not an adjustable head but still ok. Nice place with lovely surroundings and pool, very quiet. It was on main road so not hard to find, however, if you want something to do in the evening and don't want to drive, especially in fall and winter months where sun goes down early then suggest finding something closer in. There is a beach nearby and Playa Flamingo beach wasn't far.or hard to get to. Only problem was not being close to anything you could walk to at night. Pool was open late so you can go there, also had a small balcony with a table and chairs. Staff was very nice. We did not eat breakfast so can't comment on food.

A small, quiet, lavishly landscaped and new boutique hotel which is a fabulous bang for the buck. We loved the staff, super-large rooms (3 beds), abundant ceiling fans, modern air conditioning, and modern bathroom. The knee high spigot in the shower to wash off sandy feet was indicative of all the small touches. Half the price of comparable properties.

Easy access and the grounds are amazing. Housekeeping cleans your unit every day. Our apartment was right next to the pool but the noise from the kids playing did not teach the bedroom. Areas around the pool cleaned daily and the pool was sparkling. Did not smell of chlorine as most pools. The staff waited for us to check in as we got a flat tire on our way there. Very kind and helped us book covid tests before we returned back to US. I could not have been more pleased with Casas del Toro and would love to return someday.
