Baiyun Hotel

Taojin/East Huanshi Road/Guangzhou Zoo Guangzhou|0.9km from Beilang
Hotel room: 0 (zero) star Hotel location: 4 (four) stars Hotel staff services: 5 (five stars) We checked into a room on 1/25/2024 for a 6-night stay. We realized the room smelled smoke even though we requested a non-smoking room. The worst was the bathroom's strong, moldy, foul smell, which is a health hazard and unacceptable. On top of it, the in-room HVAC thermostat doesn't work, which we didn't notice until the next morning. We suffered without fresh air circulation and high room temperature all night long. The following day, thanks to the friendly, accommodating front desk staff, we could change to another room with no issues like the previous one. Even the room we changed to also has maintenance issues, such as the ceiling light above the nightstand hanging loose from the ceiling and exploding electrical wires. And the bathroom Faucet is loose, etc., unfortunately. Besides the exceptional overall staff services, the hotel is conveniently located in a local neighborhood, a perfect alternative for tourists who want to experience the truth of Guangzhou. Suppose Baiyun Hotel is positioned as an international five-star hotel. In that case, besides sustaining excellent staff services, improving room maintenance, upgrading the aging hotel, and paying attention to the details is essential. Outstanding staff service or a profound hotel history couldn't substitute necessities such as an operational thermostat or a foul smell in the bathroom. Having said that, I wouldn't consider Baiyun Hotel when we visit Guangzhou next time, nor would I recommend it to others due to my experiences with the hotel room.

CitiGO Huange Hotel

Taojin/East Huanshi Road/Guangzhou Zoo
The hotel is newly opened. The lobby is on the 4th floor. It also has a bar, billiards, and a gym. It is a good place to hang out with friends during your stay in the hotel. There is also a terrace, which is suitable for enjoying the wind and water in autumn. There is an exclusive smoking area. The hotel not only provides breakfast, but it is open until 12 noon. There is also a free midnight snack period in the evening from 2200-2300. The room is not very big, but the equipment is very complete and the environment is good. The service of the lady and brother at the front desk is very good. Very nice, will stay here next time

I moved to Lavande for the first time in 2016, and later lived in Lavande in many cities. The overall level is very good. From mattresses, slippers, hygiene and many aspects, high cost performance, highlight the details of the hotel. Like 😀
Qilian Hotel (Guangzhou Zhuang Sun Yat sen University Eye Hospital)

Taojin/East Huanshi Road/Guangzhou Zoo
This hotel came out with friends to play together. The price was supposed to make do for one night, but I was shocked when I entered the hotel. The environment and hygiene are very clean! And this price is really affordable in the center of Guangzhou! Toiletries are disposable! Very convenient and sanitary, clothes hangers and hair dryers are available. I can only say that everything is complete. The hotel also has a microwave oven, which is very convenient. There is also a power sweeper at the front desk. I am not afraid to forget to take the charger in a hurry when I go out. The front desk staff is 24 There are people serving every hour, so I’m not afraid of something that can’t be solved by anyone. The service is very attentive and caring.
