JI Hotel Guangzhou Panyu Shiqiao Subway Station Branch

Pros: Since I was traveling with elderly family members and children, I booked a superior twin room. It happened to be right in front of the elevators, which was convenient. I didn't notice any significant extra noise from the elevators, so the soundproofing was decent. The cleanliness, service, and surrounding environment were all satisfactory. The laundry room was useful, and communication with the front desk was easy. Overall, it's a solid choice, nothing bad, but not spectacular either. Cons: This particular room faced north, so there was road noise at night, and the central air conditioning had a strong musty smell. The pillows were uncomfortable. There were no bathrobes or razors provided. The fire escape device was tucked away in the corner by the curtains and wasn't easily visible. The water pressure in the bathroom couldn't be adjusted, and the hot/cold water was controlled by a knob, which was very impractical. While the room was cleaned, the bedding wasn't changed. The surrounding area isn't bustling, so for lunch and dinner, you'd need to walk a couple of kilometers or drive out. Also, the scent from the lobby diffuser was too strong.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained with complete amenities. As soon as I entered the hotel, I noticed a very pleasant and fragrant scent. The service was also great! 👍

The hotel's parking lot is spacious and convenient. The hygiene conditions are good, and they offer laundry and drying services. The location is just one subway stop away. The only minor drawback was that the staff weren't very enthusiastic; otherwise, I was quite satisfied.

The hotel is located right by the road, and there was a lot of traffic noise at night, which severely affected my sleep. I complained and asked to switch rooms, but they told me all their king rooms on the 5th floor face the road. They should really warn guests about the noise when booking, especially since they know it's a busy road. Breakfast was mediocre, and the facilities and service were nothing special. I'm genuinely surprised how this place got a 4.8-star rating.

It was really great! The room was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They even gave us a free upgrade to a better room and let us check out late.
