ECHIC Hotel (Guangzhou Zhengjia Plaza Tiyuxilu Subway Station)

The place is conveniently located, very clean, and service is excellent. The room was spacious and clean! I love how there is free coffee and chinese tea at the lobby, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful. I had challenges with Chinese cab apps, the counter staff helped me figure out where i needed to go and booked it too. They also allowed my friends to hold their luggage here even after we checked out of the room. Would stay again, cheers to a beautiful experience here. Recommend for solo, couples and group travelling

Very conveniently located, only minutes walk to festival walk and shopping malls. Lots of eateries nearby. Clean hotel with comfortable bed.

We stayed here for 5 nights during our time in guangzhou and here are the overall pros and cons. Pros: Firstly the location is great, it's near the station and is only a few minutes walk from a few big malls. They made it convenient to request for items and services from hotel staff by using wechat that's 24/7 available if you need help or assistance for anything. The place is pretty new, only opened for less than 2 years at the time of our stay and the washer and dryers are provided in the amenities room. Cons: The walls of the room were quite thin and the sound insulation was not the best, you can definitely hear your neighbours above and beside you talking and walking around in their rooms. The cleaning of rooms could be improved. There were multiple occasions where we realised toilet paper or tissue boxes were not replaced after room cleaning and had to request it ourselves. I also don't think they vacuum the floors during your stay. We chose to stay here as we were attracted by the idea of a "smart room" that was supposed to allow you to control settings for lights, temperature and even curtains with your voice through their smart home system but we were rather disappointed to find out that the smart home system in our room was not working(it only managed to turn on and off the tv) so it just became a normal room. Unfortunately during our last night, there was an issue with the water pipe in the toilet which led to our room being flooded with water and we had to relocate to another room. Would I recommend this place? I think if you are a heavy sleeper, sure but if you are easily woken up by noise probably not. Overall I don't think it's bad, it just needs some fixes here and there
