R&F Stanley International Apartment(Guangzhou Sports West Road, Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center Branch)

This was our first time in Guangzhou, and we brought our dog, so we needed a pet-friendly hotel. After comparing several options and looking at their pictures and reviews, we chose this one. I really have to complain about this place. It's more of a hotel-apartment building, with floors 1-30 housing both accommodations and businesses, so it's very crowded and mixed-use. First, let's talk about parking. Most hotels either have their own parking or share one with the building but don't charge guests. This hotel requires you to pay for parking yourself. Upon arriving at our room, I was shocked. The wooden door looked ancient and was difficult to open. As for the room's cleanliness, just look at the pictures yourself. Another complaint: the projector. It kept overheating and shutting down automatically after just ten minutes of use. The showerhead pressure was so strong it felt like it was hitting you with rocks. The soundproofing was terrible; we could clearly hear our neighbors talking at night. We don't expect a smart toilet, but at least a soft-close toilet seat would be nice. I won't go into more detail, but this has been the worst hotel experience I've had in years.

So many people here already, and it's not even Chinese New Year yet... At least the hotel didn't raise prices. I got stuck in a long check-in line during peak hours because some minors in front of me weren't willing to register their IDs, which was really frustrating. It was already tiring waiting in line, and then to deal with uncooperative people registering – seriously, why does the hotel even allow minors to check in without proper ID? Even though they upgraded the room for the guests who held us up, I'm still quite annoyed!! Very average experience overall.

The front desk service was exceptionally good. They were very patient answering all our questions. We were even able to extend our check-out time, which was a huge plus for people who like to sleep in! I really liked it. They also upgraded our room, which was quite spacious and came with a washing machine, microwave, and a household-sized fridge. Super convenient! Very satisfied with the service! 👍

I came to Guangzhou at the tail end of the holidays, and after much searching, I finally chose this hotel. I wasn't disappointed after checking in, though it wasn't particularly amazing either. Overall, it has its merits. First, let's talk about the surroundings. There are many restaurants and office buildings near the hotel, so dining is very convenient with plenty of choices. The view is a city view, which looks good both day and night, though the night view is even better. The hotel's location is also easy to find, just a two-minute walk from the subway station. Next, the facilities. We stayed in room 1022. The amenities in the room are quite new, simple yet tasteful, and everything you need is there. The owner has good taste; even the hairdryer is a name brand [grinning face with smiling eyes]. The water pressure and temperature in the shower were very stable. I couldn't find any faults with the hygiene; the room has a ventilation system, so there were absolutely no strange odors. The service is what I really want to praise. The butler pretty much responded to messages instantly and was very quick to address any requests. They were all young men and women, both interesting and efficient.

Absolutely fantastic! It's just a minute's walk to Yangji East Station, which makes getting to the central axis for sightseeing incredibly convenient. Plus, there's amazing food everywhere! They even gave a little gift. I'll definitely stay here again next time!
