This is my third stay at Mo Niang's House.
The first time was two years ago, before a typhoon. The area was deserted, making the mountain exceptionally tranquil. Mo Niang is nestled halfway up the mountain, rustic and elegant. The small courtyard in front offers a panoramic view of the sea. The room was simple yet elegant, and opening the window revealed lush greenery and fresh air.
The second time was last week, when I visited the lantern festival with friends. The room rate included admission. I communicated the park entry time with the staff before check-in. We enjoyed a private kitchen on the mountain; the ingredients were very fresh, and the flavors were authentic, though a bit pricey. That afternoon, we visited the Tianhou Temple, rested for a while, and then continued down the mountain to see the lantern festival – very convenient. The lantern festival was huge, and we were exhausted afterward, so returning to rest nearby was very pleasant. The next day's breakfast was simple and light, but enough to fill us up. Upon check-out, we were even given a phone charm blessed by Mazu.
This is my third stay, and the staff thoughtfully arranged the same room, as comfortable and convenient as ever. They gave me a blessed bag from Mazu upon check-out, which made me very happy.
If I have the chance, I might stay here a fourth time. 😃
