Breakfast is served from 7:00 am and there are good Chinese and Western menu options. Just note that it is no longer a hotel operated by Holliday inn but is now called Voco.

The biggest hotel I’ve stayed in Guangzhou. Was very happy to see the huge room with a separate living area, bathtub, separate shower and toilet. Then the leakage happened. What a shame, don’t know why there is a flood whenever we use the shower. The bathtub, toilet area and sink area is fine, but the water will flood most of the toilet floor after shower, and the worst is there will be a foul smell that comes after. Shower room is just next to the beds, so we ensure the shower door is shut when we sleep to keep the smell away. Other than the shower mishap, everything is perfect, I was surprised to see they even have different charging lines near the dresser and the tv area, very thoughtful!Location is the best, shopping plaza just across the road with a delicious dim sum restaurant on the 2nd floor, be sure to go early, I reached close to 11am and que for almost an hour to get a seat. The super market in the shopping plaza is expensive but the bread offers buy 2 free 1 if you go after 8pm, the bread is so tasty, I brought back to sg and ate for 2 days it still taste very good. Bought kiwis and persimmon back to sg and both taste very good as well. Subway is just 3 mins away and easily to get taxis from the hotel or from the roadside. Walk about 30 mins to qing hui yuan, one of the famous garden in Guangzhou, visit the huang fei hong and ye wen gallery. Take the subway 2 stops to Beijing bu xing jie, plenty of shops and vibrant place, it’s a must go. Really love the location of this old hotel, so convenient and surrounded by shopping and eateries, just need to make sure to have a shower room that doesn’t leak.

Given the high rating and reputation of this hotel, I was shocked by the conditions of the supposedly newly renovated rooms. I was staying at the standard room on the twelve floor , facing the historical buildings. We checked in after 10:30pm under the drizzles and chill - the outside temperature was around 10 degress. I noticed the holes of the linen of the blinds when they were rolled down, though it could still function. Yet, the light shield was worse. It was trapped on one side and could not be let down. The plus side was we were offered another room on the same floor immediately. Leo who helped to bring our luggage up was very polite and patient. He stayed outside our room when his colleague brought the new key of the new room and accompanied us to the new room to ensure everything was all right. He was worth 5 out of 5 for service. However, I would further explain why I only gave 4 out of 5 for service. Yet, the new room was smaller and for any other international hotels , from my experience, would offer an upgrade of the room. This hotel did not. Thats why I gave 4 out of 5 for service. The linen of the blinds in the new room was still far from 100%. I could still detect torn tissues , most probably because the blinds were dated. Thats why I gave a 3 out of 5 for facilities.

The location is excellent. Restaurants food are good with variety. The cleaning needs to improve as I told the cleaner the bed had yogurt sour smell, she didn’t change the quilt cover and bed sheet, only did easy job-changed the pillow covers. At night I couldn’t sleep because of the smell. Then I rang the service and told them the situation. They sent 2 room service ladies and changed the bed sheets and quilt covers straight away.

First of all, I would like to praise all the service staff, especially the duty manager Peter, who communicated with me about the housing needs before my mother and I checked in, fully understood the core needs of the residents, and made arrangements that moved the customers. It was very considerate. The hotel has a great location and the decoration is elegant and dignified. We are traveling. The station in front of the hotel is connected in all directions. We can reach many famous attractions without even needing a subway. The room is designed according to the specifications of a hotel apartment, and is equipped with a washing machine, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle, and coffee machine. I live in a suite, and the washing machine has a drying function. In Guangzhou, which is hot and hot, it is very convenient for me, who has to wash and dry clothes every day. The hairdryer is from Dyson, and the room is thoughtfully equipped with electric mosquito coils and a steam ironing machine. You can feel that the staff want to make guests feel at home. There are plenty of USB charging sockets in the room, which is convenient and user-friendly. There is PILLOW MENU where you can choose the pillow that suits you. But you can feel the attitude of the other party trying to provide good service. The hotel is in an excellent location. It is within a reasonable distance from Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street and Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk and 7 minutes to walk to the subway station. The hotel actually occupies three floors of a residential building. The room is really not flattering. There is a bed as soon as you open the door. There is only one bed in the whole room. Two people can only sleep on the bed in the room. There is no place to put it in the room. The toilet is small and pitiful. One person can't take a shower and the other person can't use the toilet. . This is the smallest room I have ever booked on Ctrip. The order indicates that there are windows, but there are no windows, and the area is definitely not 20 square meters. Won’t book again, poor experience

This is the second time I have booked this hotel, and I am not disappointed at all. It is the Guangxi office in Guangzhou, and all the equipment and environment are very good. Cheaper than other hotels with similar conditions, very cost-effective. The experience was good. This time the room also had wooden floors. Hands down the best hotel one can find at this price range, I booked for two days but ended up extended another two. Here is the list of things I truly appreciate: Attention to details : from coffee (I love their Yunnan coffee! to comfortable disposable slippers to awesome pillows , marvellous TV wallpaper) Technology : Xiaodu voice controlling of light, TV and curtains - I can't get enough talking to xiaoduxiaodu :D Location: just outside of xihua lu where u get best food in Guangzhou Shower: Great shampoo and shower gel and super good water pressure! The environment and hygiene are good. The room I booked was too small and the beautiful woman at the front desk took care of the problem immediately. Parking is quite convenient. We really enjoyed our stay in Yizhi! The location itself is worth every penny, we could just walk across the street for the metro and also venturing to the famous XiHua street for all local delicacies!
