Shangri-La Guangzhou

Pazhou International Exhibition Center Area and Canton Tower and Kecun Area Guangzhou|1.51km from The Guangzhou Metro Museum
Great hotel with great amenities, great checkin; however our experience thereafter deteriorated. Once our checkin was completed, we were shown to our room, however our luggage didn’t find its way up. Calling the operator resulted in little to nothing. Calling the reception wasn’t much better either as we were told to wait at least 15-20 mins, despite our already 20 min wait time. Thus I ended going down to grab our luggage myself. The next surprise were the number of towels in the room. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids, however had only 2 full towels. Again calling the operator resulted in little to nothing, likely also to language difficulties. We have since asked 2 staff members for more towels, without any success. Our solution was to grab 2 additional towels from the pool. We only stayed one night, so no biggie. However later the night, our daughter was freezing due to her developing a fever. Thus we called the operator one more time to ask for another blanket; again due to language difficulties we went down to the reception and asked for one more blanket, just in case. We were told ‘no problem’ and housekeeping would bring one. It never came. Having spent the night with a sick kid, we went for breakfast at 9’ish. Though the hotel put up a sign to inform how likely busy the breakfast will be at certain times, we were still surprised to be encounter a waiting line ranging from the elevator to the breakfast room. I have never seen anything the like in similar properties, however one can see why the hotel enforced rather strict entry control measures. The line was handled swiftly, however caused a waiting time to be seated of around 10-15 mins. Breakfast was great, with heaps of choice of both western and Chinese dishes. However the slight chaos caused by guests notably affected staff, which made it sometimes feel more like a train-station cafe, rather than a 5* property breakfast. Upon leaving, we had however the probably best service-moment of our stay. A concierge called Alvin helped us to sort our Didi-issue to travel to Shenzhen and made us truly feel comfortable, despite dealing with an odd Didi driver and a sick kid. Alvin displayed everything you expect in a 5* property and some more! Thus we left exhausted (not the hotel’s fault), but with a smile.

I like this homestay very much. I feel very comfortable 😌. The environment is very clean and tidy. The furniture is new. Just not far from the exit D of Wanshengwei, the traffic is very convenient, and the scenery is very beautiful, the sun is very good, you can see the night view at night is very beautiful, two rooms and one hall, there are two houses, the big sofa has a projector, it feels very good to nest on the sofa at night to watch a movie. The kitchen utensils are brand new, and you can also cook and wash clothes by yourself. They must be praised by five stars 👍 and collected. I want to live in Guangzhou next time ~.

The corridor of the apartment is also very dark during the day, which is a bit scary. Of course, other homes in this area have the same problem. I haven’t stayed in Guangzhou much. The hygiene and facilities are comparable to Shenzhen’s 200-night rooms. Especially the faucet in the bathroom is difficult to use, but the location is still very good. It’s just above the subway and has convenient transportation, so it’s worth every penny. Goods. There is no refrigerator, but there is a washing machine. The curtains are just thick and not completely blackout. You need to wear an eye mask when sleeping during the day. The cleaning lady is very polite, praise

The room is good, there is a large wardrobe, there is a washing machine and a place to dry clothes. There is also cleaning every day, clean and tidy. You can also apply for cooking. But we can eat downstairs when we come from business. It is very convenient. It is close to the subway. It is great. When we come back from work, we have a restaurant that I like. In the morning, we can go to the Starbucks or McDonald's or the various breakfasts in the opposite square. Sound insulation is very good, the floor is not bad, there is no noise, I slept well for seven days. satisfaction. Come to this next time.

The transportation is convenient to participate in the Canton Fair, and the room is relatively small. There are many choices for eating, drinking and shopping downstairs, but the supermarket price is outrageous. Two queen rooms are provided and the bathroom is slightly smaller.

The location of the hotel is OK, upstairs in the commercial complex, downstairs is the subway station, shopping is convenient. The room can be except for the shower room, which is a bit small. Every day, there are aunts who come to take out the garbage. The only uncomfortable point is that the quilt is itchy on the body. I thought it was my physique problem, but the friends I lived with also felt this way, and the aunt changed the sheets and it was still itchy, and I didn't sleep well.

The room booked for a business trip to participate in the exhibition is a special room. The room is clean and tidy, and the space is passable. It is not very big but not small. There are many restaurants nearby. There are many restaurants at the entrance of a shopping mall. It is also very convenient to go to the subway entrance Convenient, you can take Line 8 directly to Pazhou Complex, the location is very good, everyone can use it as a reference, I think it is an option.
