Great value for money, super clean, comforable bed, beautiful river view from hotel room. Need to specific mention this hotel have very amazing, friendly and helpful staffs. (We left a wifi egg with charger behind and they gave it to us immediately when we check out!!) Walking distance to eateries and river cruise at the pier. Stay for 2 nights in this hotel, just a bit disappointed coz can't go to the rooftop bar due to events on both nights. Also need to mention elderly need to be very careful when using the shower room of the hotel coz their floor are made of marble. It can be a bit slippery. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and will come back next time. We had a wonderful time here, thank you very much.

It is a wonderful option to stay in Guangzhou. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is located a few meters from the pedestrian street and that gives it a privileged location to move around on foot. Breakfast is served from 7:00 am and there are good Chinese and Western menu options. Just note that it is no longer a hotel operated by Holliday inn but is now called Voco.

First of all, I would like to praise all the service staff, especially the duty manager Peter, who communicated with me about the housing needs before my mother and I checked in, fully understood the core needs of the residents, and made arrangements that moved the customers. It was very considerate. The hotel has a great location and the decoration is elegant and dignified. We are traveling. The station in front of the hotel is connected in all directions. We can reach many famous attractions without even needing a subway. The room is designed according to the specifications of a hotel apartment, and is equipped with a washing machine, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle, and coffee machine. I live in a suite, and the washing machine has a drying function. In Guangzhou, which is hot and hot, it is very convenient for me, who has to wash and dry clothes every day. The hairdryer is from Dyson, and the room is thoughtfully equipped with electric mosquito coils and a steam ironing machine. You can feel that the staff want to make guests feel at home. There are plenty of USB charging sockets in the room, which is convenient and user-friendly. There is PILLOW MENU where you can choose the pillow that suits you. The biggest hotel I’ve stayed in Guangzhou. Was very happy to see the huge room with a separate living area, bathtub, separate shower and toilet. Then the leakage happened. What a shame, don’t know why there is a flood whenever we use the shower. The bathtub, toilet area and sink area is fine, but the water will flood most of the toilet floor after shower, and the worst is there will be a foul smell that comes after. Shower room is just next to the beds, so we ensure the shower door is shut when we sleep to keep the smell away. Other than the shower mishap, everything is perfect, I was surprised to see they even have different charging lines near the dresser and the tv area, very thoughtful!Location is the best, shopping plaza just across the road with a delicious dim sum restaurant on the 2nd floor, be sure to go early, I reached close to 11am and que for almost an hour to get a seat. The super market in the shopping plaza is expensive but the bread offers buy 2 free 1 if you go after 8pm, the bread is so tasty, I brought back to sg and ate for 2 days it still taste very good. Bought kiwis and persimmon back to sg and both taste very good as well. Subway is just 3 mins away and easily to get taxis from the hotel or from the roadside. Walk about 30 mins to qing hui yuan, one of the famous garden in Guangzhou, visit the huang fei hong and ye wen gallery. Take the subway 2 stops to Beijing bu xing jie, plenty of shops and vibrant place, it’s a must go. Really love the location of this old hotel, so convenient and surrounded by shopping and eateries, just need to make sure to have a shower room that doesn’t leak.

Given the high rating and reputation of this hotel, I was shocked by the conditions of the supposedly newly renovated rooms. I was staying at the standard room on the twelve floor , facing the historical buildings. We checked in after 10:30pm under the drizzles and chill - the outside temperature was around 10 degress. I noticed the holes of the linen of the blinds when they were rolled down, though it could still function. Yet, the light shield was worse. It was trapped on one side and could not be let down. The plus side was we were offered another room on the same floor immediately. Leo who helped to bring our luggage up was very polite and patient. He stayed outside our room when his colleague brought the new key of the new room and accompanied us to the new room to ensure everything was all right. He was worth 5 out of 5 for service. However, I would further explain why I only gave 4 out of 5 for service. Yet, the new room was smaller and for any other international hotels , from my experience, would offer an upgrade of the room. This hotel did not. Thats why I gave 4 out of 5 for service. The linen of the blinds in the new room was still far from 100%. I could still detect torn tissues , most probably because the blinds were dated. Thats why I gave a 3 out of 5 for facilities.

Later I found out that this place belongs to the old town of Guangzhou and it felt a bit chaotic. It's a bit far from the subway station, so it's not particularly convenient to get here. There is a restaurant on the third floor, where locals come to eat, and the food is pretty good, which is very convenient. I took my children for a leisure trip and had breakfast and dinner here. It's not far from Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street and Beijing Road, but it's not close either. It is recommended to stay near the subway when taking children.

All the receptionist on duty are very helpful and so it’s the cleaning staff When my room air con suddenly default , they immediately change my room which is much appreciated. The only uncomfortable issue is the lif is shared by other tenants in the same building therefore it’s better to ask the staff to accompany if you are single lady travelling . Another issue is the gym room is really minimal equipment and located at another floor which they didn’t on the light at all except the gym room and the maintenance office which is quiet eerie when I went there to have a look. Water pressure is good and even better than some 5 star hotels in Europe .

The twin bedded room that we stayed in were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. They even provide a humidifier unit in the room. The air-condition were excellent and the bath water pressure were strong. There's even piped music which you can control (located next to the hair dryer socket). Excellent service with impetuous honesty: my wife left her handphone in the room after we checked out and only realised 5 hours later. We went back to the reception and they duly kept it safe for us to collect. Kudos to the cleaning staff. Location is great as it is walking distance to Beijing Lu (shopping street) and also to the cruise wharf. For those who commute using the metro, it is located near Haizhu Square stop.

According to LP Lonely Planet, the hotel is located in a somewhat run-down commercial and residential building, with different commercial and entertainment floors. Many young people and takeout delivery people come and go. But the 10th floor where we stayed was very clean and quiet, with a security peephole and free laundry. Clothes dryer. Our room has 180-degree large glass windows with open views, basic facilities, quiet air conditioning, hot and powerful shower, good Wi-Fi, and a 50-inch large TV that can only watch online TV. Downstairs is Huifu. There is a gourmet restaurant on East Road, Beijing Road is nearby and it is a 10-minute walk to Gongyuanqianji Railway Station. This hotel is cost-effective.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here — the construction during the period only affected us on our first day (cleaning of windows). It was the NYE/New Year’s period and the Beijing Road area was always bustling and crowded but the security here did their jobs well. The room facilities are also new and clean. Only downside was the hdmi port of the TV wasn’t really accessible, but Apple TV casting could be used. The security was also friendly to us as we had some parcels throughout our stay. Oh and, Mcdonalds and Chagee (and many other malls) are located right beside the hotel — score!

Cleaning staff and check in staff are friendly and helpful. 2 in 1 Washer n Dryer is useful but needs to look into maintenance. It was dirty inside the drum. I ran a tub clean function and wiped down the washer door and seal. I then let it dry for a day before using.

The environment is clean and hygienic. The family room we set is spacious. You can see the scenery outside by the window, especially at night. It is very convenient to go to Beijing Road, Shamian Island, Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street. We walked slowly and received us. I don’t know if it’s the boss. Very enthusiastic, The only downside is that the hot water supply time is not long. If you take a bath, you have to wash it quickly, otherwise there will be no hot water, and you have to wait for 15-20 minutes.

Location: Not bad. Near the intersection of Jiefang South Road, Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, Zhongshan 6th Road, Zhujiang and the Line 2 subway are all within about ten minutes' walk. Shangxiajiu, Yongqingfang, Shamian Island, Memorial Hall, and Yuexiu Park are all just a few bus stops away. Room condition: Neat and clean. The room layout is simple and comfortable, and the space for activities is relatively large. There is a washing machine and refrigerator in the room. The shower head in the bathroom has a large flow of water, making it very comfortable to take a bath. The mattress is moderately soft and hard, making it very relaxing and enjoyable to lie on. Front desk service: very good. We checked in in time. Because we were traveling with the elderly, we were specially reminded and thoughtfully arranged to be placed on the same floor. Thank you so much. A slight drawback is that the location of the TV is not good, making it inconvenient to watch while lying on the bed. The sound insulation effect of the second room needs to be improved, and the sound of conversations in the next room can be faintly heard in the room. Overall, the flaws do not outweigh the virtues. I was very satisfied with my three-day and two-night stay. This is indeed a great place to stay when visiting Guangzhou to explore the historical features of the old city. highly recommended! If I come to Guangzhou next time, this apartment will still be my first choice.
