We first became acquainted with Guerneville in a search of great places close to Santa Rosa. We would be in the SR area for a few days for business and wanted to see what Guerneville was all about. We fell in love!! The Cottages on River Road were the perfect setting for our few days in Sonoma Wine Country!! Surrounded by wineries and amazing restaurants, markets, and breweries that have been there for decades, we felt like we entered Heaven. In fact at one point we looked at one another and said ”Did we just get to Heaver?” The grounds of The Cottages were pristine, and welcoming with many areas to sit and relax and enjoy the perfect weather! Our room was better than the photos online! Deanne, the manager went above and beyond in every way!! She was so helpful with basic recommendations in and around Guerneville, and went a step further with secrets that made us feel like locals! We were looking at homes while we were there as well and were working with a realtor, but Deanne knew of a couple of homes that our realtor did not know of, and one of them was a property we had seen online and loved! Everyone there was required and gladly complied with COVID precautions and after we left we realized we had not been able to feel that relaxed outside of our home since March!! It truly was a relaxing and rejuvenating stay and we can't wait to get back!!

Stayed here one night after going to the Charles Schultz Museum. We were warmly welcomed and given room 320, a very quiet room with two queen beds. Linens and towels were very nice. Lighting very good in bathroom. Breakfast had good selections. Bed is high for me and I would have liked the room darker. The microwave light was bright! Bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again.

Superb location in quiet Monte Rio. A short distance away from slightly busier Guerneville and the delightful Duncan’s Mills. Very pleasant staff and a nice clean room, with spectacular views of the river from our balcony room. Simple breakfast but more than expected.
