Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

Our stay at Guilin Central Palace Hotel was exceptionally satisfying. We booked a king size room and was spacious. Breakfast and afternoon tea time came with many selections that were amazing delicious! Staff was always very helpful. We will book again to stay in Guilin next time.

Bo Yin Hotel (Li River Secluded Hotel) Our visit to Guilin was to spend time with my wife’s large family and we twice stayed at the Li River Secluded hotel, for a total of 7 nights. Our expectations of a hotel experience are high, so we avoid using American chain hotels when possible. The Li River Secluded hotel more than met those expectations by combining exceptional customer service with a laid back, but luxurious guest experience. On arrival, we were offered a room upgrade. The upgrade accommodation was located on the ground floor, so this did not appeal to us until we were shown the room … the suite was spacious and tastefully furnished with a Zen motif that included a ceremonial tea table. Both my wife and I practice daily yoga, so the ample floor space immediately appealed to us. A room-width picture window featured a view of the Li River Lake and its pair of pagodas. Remote-controlled drapes and shears sound-proofed and eliminated light from the room when closed. A buffet daily breakfast on the 8th (top) floor was included and featured a good selection of both Chinese and Western options. We had family commitments that prevented us from eating dinner at the restaurant, but my wife hosted an afternoon tea session in the restaurant for some of her friends and the tea and pastries were excellent. In addition, fresh fruit was placed in the room every day, and the room refrigerator was refreshed daily with water, sodas, and snacks. The hotel was generally maintained in pristine condition and effected the highest standards of cleanliness. This applied to all the facilities apart from a small exercise room on the 5th floor. This consisted of a set of barbells (no bench), a fixed weight station (functional), and 2 treadmills, neither of which functioned properly … that said, I did use the weight station and the patio outside of the exercise room for yoga on a couple warmer days. There was also a guest laundry on the 5th floor which my wife used on one occasion. The customer service attitude in Chinese hotels is generally an improvement on what we are accustomed to in North America, but at the Bo Yin Hotel it’s exceptional. This means that English language speakers (I’m Canadian and my wife is Chinese by birth) would experience no problem in addressing any of the front desk, maid, or restaurant personnel. For those who prefer to order take-out food, a robotic delivery service is used, a feature that tends to fascinate any child you might be traveling with. Sean Bennett

Amazing location. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was nice. Decent selection of Chinese and Western breakfast choices. The Western restaurant is a bit expensive, but there are some great restaurants near the hotel. There is one amazing noodle shop about 1 block to the west. It is near an alleyway. Blue interior open on two sides. Cheap but amazing noodles. Also, there is another restaurant to the west with a wooden facade that has wonderful beer fish.

The hotel has an excellent location, a few minutes away from the city center. The reception of the hotel is warm and polite, and the housekeeper Li Jie is attentive. Great location which is convenient for the walking street near by and other places such as the temple. It is not a “staycation” type of hotel, rather more of a place you would drop your bags and head out to walk around😊 The hotel is very basic and perfect for that over night stop. The staff are very friendly and there are people who can help organize tours etc. It’s not overly loud and the room is very neat, spacious and clean. Lovely little tea set in the window. For a long stay it may not be ideal for most, as from the rooms there is no view, but for a overnight stop or just as a place to sleep, it is certainly convenient and great value 😊 Ps a taxi cannot physically take you right there as it is in the middle of a walking street. But they can drop you very close.

Loved this hotel. It looked newly renovated so everything in the room was in great condition! Very worth the price we paid :) Location is great too, it's on the pedestrian street itself with plenty of food options nearby, and within walking distance to the twin pagodas and Elephant Trunk Mountain park. My family was very happy staying here. Service was quick and efficient too. Our first time at an Atour hotel and we will definitely consider staying at other Atour hotels in future.

The homestay is located in the old town, so it's not too hard to find! If you rent a car, it is convenient to pick up the car, just next to the Sheraton Hotel! The room is newly decorated, very clean! There is also a warm plate in the toilet, which is very considerate! When I went to the rooftop bar to look at the menu at night, I was invited to drink beer by the young lady. Surprise! Next time I come here, I will choose this place and recommend it to my friends! Hotel location is really good. I will suggest that one should book queen bedroom for fantastic view. Guest bedroom view is not so great. But Guest bedroom is also great to stay if you want an economical room. Elephant trunk hill is from walking distance, zhengyang pedestrian street is just on the bak side of hotel, ludi flute cave is on 10 minutesby taxi, two river four lake park is on walking distance.

The location is quiet in the bustle, right on the East and West Alley. It's not easy to find it for the first time. If you take a taxi, you have to drag your luggage a certain distance. The old office building was renovated and has an elevator. The service environment is good. The public space in the lobby is large, the book selection is good, and there are many books available for borrowing. But few people living here can read. The interior is relatively compact, but adequate. If the price is below 300 during the peak period, the price/performance ratio is not bad. The alley rice noodle shop and Hu Ji Tang Shui shop downstairs both taste good and are worth recommending! Erliang braised vegetable rice noodles are 5 yuan, delicious and affordable. Mung bean paste is also 5 yuan, and the bean paste has a high concentration. When you walk to the main street, there is the Shen Braised Rice Noodles, which is also a time-honored brand. The Shenxian Tofu Ice Noodles next to it is 4 yuan and tastes great. Except that the summer is too hot and humid and the tickets for travel are too expensive, Guilin is livable.

Guilin Trip was amazing! The Gangshe Hotel (Guilin Two Rivers and Four Lakes Xiangshan Scenic Spot) is within the city where you can find around the famouse Guilin Food and choose the best food you can see --- located just at the side of the hotel - the busy street foods, big and small restaurant, shopping mall, near to the Guilin river trip, to the park, and if you are foreigner like me who still love Mc Donalds and/or KFC but alaso love street food, its around the hotel. The hotel service was nice! they know I am foreigner and they take care the communcation with mix Chinese- English. One of the hotel staff added my wechat and we can talk in translated English - Chinese, which is awesome. They have free tea / coffee from 2:30 to 4 PM, it was nice Latte coffee blended with Chinese snacks. My room is a single bed, enough for a solo DIY traveller's with all the comfortable facilities needed to live comfortably. I suppsoed to believe that the view outside the window is the Elephant trunk or Elephan Hill as seen on the trip.com website, its about 10 minutes away by taxi + traffic. I spend the whole afternoon trekking in the elephant hill, explaining what about the stabbed elephant mountain hahaha. Find them all on my vidoes here, and of course my other adventures with trip,.com as my company on travel for hotel and flighht booking, I will make videos and will post here : h********************************************************and visit*************************************** There is an in-house travel agency in the hotel, I booked my day trip to Yangshou thru the river cruise, that is 4 hours trip to yangshou. We arrived late 9-10pm and check-in was quick. Room was big and very clean. Staff at breakfast were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good, Chinese style. I love dumplings. Down side, waited about 30+min trying to book a tour for the next morning, communication was difficult. The tour company expected our passport number to be visible on the green code, but only a few digits were visible. They asked us to remove the * from the passport numbers. Eventually after all the waiting, we were exhausted and highly frustrated so, we decided to find a different tour agent and then, miraculously she said the tour was booked when we were about to leave the hotel. Hotel is good. Maybe book tours elsewhere there are many in the pedestrian street. We didn't experience this problem with other tour companies the area.

All the pits in my life travel are in Guilin. The room is good, the location is very good, and it is very close to the attractions, but the mess downstairs was scared on the first day I arrived. It was too smelly. The building was really a bit old and the stairs were not very good. This environment makes me feel that the price does not match, too expensive! The room is not big, on the sixth floor of the stairs, but it is still fully equipped. One sheet was still torn. Checked in in the afternoon, at 11:00 p.m., the air conditioner was leaking, and the store took a bucket to collect water. It should be a problem with the air conditioner, and the water leaked sometimes. This hotel can only be said to be better than the location. Just near the clock tower on the pedestrian street, close to the city center

The location of the youth hostel is very good. There are a lot of delicious food nearby. It is within walking distance. I ate there for several days and enjoyed all the delicious food nearby. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t made a guide. There are many recommendations from the bosses on the hostel’s wall. You can eat at any of them. The food is delicious and not expensive. One day, I went out with my friend who was staying at the youth hostel to play with the boss. It was so fun. If you stay in a youth hostel, several scenic spots in the city are not far away. The boss’s corgi is super cute! Come again if you have a chance! !
