Reviews of Cape San Blas Inn

My wife and I celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary at Cape San Blas. The island and the Inn were both fantastic. We stayed in the Clam Shell room. It was quite comfortable and clean. On our next visit, we plan on splurging on the Turtle Shell room. Breakfast was very good, and trading conversation with the other guests made it even better. The innkeeper was very helpful, suggesting restaurants, things to see, etc., while at the same time never in your way. The location is super convenient to everything on the cape and Port St Joe. The properties included amenities, bicycles, paddleboards, kayaks, a hot tub, and a real breakfast make it a great value, too. Sitting on the dock at sunset, watching the mullet jump in the bay our only disappointment was asking ourselves, “Why did we wait 43 years?”

Wonderful stay!!! Nice getaway weekend to a lovely B&B! Debbie was the best hostess!! Breakfast was 5 star!! We definitely will return.

We loved Cape San Blas Inn from the moment we walked in the door. It was welcoming, there is a spiral staircase, It's quiet and clean and feels like it has the vibe of the island. We stayed in the Turtle shell room. It has an incredible view of the bay from the screened in balcony porch. This room has a large shower with a rain shower head, couch and table, and beach chairs! The bed was so comfortable. Waking up to sunrise with all the windows and then going out on the balcony was one of my favorite parts of the experience. Coffee was ready downstairs in the morning. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, as well as the presentation of the breakfast from the strawberry infused water to the stuffed french toast, it was absolutely beautiful. The person that was working had a warm kind disposition and made us feel welcome. He was the best host we couldn't have asked for better. He answered all of our questions and even changed our reservation at night to an upstairs room and waived the extra cost. It was also a great experience to meet other people during breakfast and just sit and talk. We loved it here so much that we are planning a next visit.

Excellent stay. Great communication, room was everything we expected and then some Location was perfect, we could walk wherever we needed. Highly recommend this lovely inn. It is a lovely and clean place to stay and staff was most friendly.

Staff is AMAZING! Bed is AWESOME! Whole place is a comfortable "homey" feeling. There is so much little stuff to do, they have kayaks, paddleboards and hot tub! We did not use any of that, we are not bay people. We spent less than five minutes walking and spent most of our days on the sugar white sand on the Gulf side. You have all of the shopping you need to do across the street, Trading Post, Ice Cream, Webers donuts, Shrimp store, and Peachy's restaurant and Tortuga Moon!

Such a relaxing stay thanks to the best innkeeper Emilee! Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was an excellent start to each day! We will definitely be coming back. Right in the heart of the best beach location in Florida with plenty of activities and relaxing ways to spend the day.

This was a last minute getaway for my husband and myself so we thought we would try the Inn for just a few days. Even though the Inn was a little older, everything was very nice and so many amenities the owners and managers have paid attention to make it very nice. The Inn is a perfect place if you don’t want to go to the trouble to rent a house. Debbie and Emily, the managers were both so kind and went out of their way for us…food requests, etc. making sure we had everything. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

From the bamboo sheets to the bay views, staying in the Turtle Shell room was amazing. It's perfect for serenity and the staff is so friendly. They make you feel like you're at home. It's a great location, with a short walk to the beach, and the hot tub is a nice touch.

Great overall. New mattresses and comfy bamboo sheets. Breakfasts were excellent and delivered to our room. The home away from home that you never want to leave! Very relaxing view of the bay, especially from the hot tub. Great experience.

The Clam Shell room has a spacious bedroom, comfy bed and lovely shower. Nice big fridge. Unfortunately the innkeeper had just quit so the owner was as he said, “Not the innkeeper.” He was kind, but we missed the hospitality everyone raved about. He had missed several emails from me about my dietary needs. He apologized profusely but in the end, it was what it was, but not acceptable for the price. We selected this place for its hospitality but the timing was bad for us. My husband did not finish his breakfast as the pancakes were less than average. The back area felt tired and in need of some TLC. You need bug spray at all times out back. I recommend the beach at the park and the first nature trail.

The room was very clean,the staff was exceptional,the staff went out of there way to accommodate my work schedule and made sure i had breakfast and watched the sunset from the balcony. The hot tub was amazing and peaceful ,the bed was very comfortable all over a great experience.

We have stayed here annually for about a dozen years. Accommodations are very good, comfortable and conveniently located on the great St. Joseph Penninsula. Breakfasts are well done. Staff is very friendly. We were a bit disappointed this year in that facility maintenance has slipped (tv’s hard to work, refrigerator noisy, boards loose on dock, HVAC noisy and unpredictable, and rear door to patio broken.)

This is our third time staying at the Inn. We absolutely love Cape San Blas and the Cape San Blas Inn. The rooms are well appointed and comfy. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious. The hot tub at the end of the dock has beautiful views of the bay. Close to the gulf. It’s my happy place.

This B & B was spotless, the breakfasts were delicious and beautifully prepared, and the location was beautiful, right across from the beach. But the one thing that I will remember the most is how the staff made me feel, welcome. Thank you Ana and Macaela! 😊
