This is probably the worst Marriott property I’ve stayed at. I’m a Titanium member and have already spent 30 days in other Marriotts this year alone. The front desk manager that checked me in was very nice, but it’s the property itself that needs serious work. This is probably the worst Marriott property I’ve stayed at. I’m a Titanium member and have already spent 30 days in other Marriotts this year alone. The front desk manager that checked me in was very nice, but it’s the property itself that needs serious work. The bathroom needs new hinges, tub, and in the least, a clean shower curtain. The one I had was very moldy. The door hinges were rusty, as was the coffee maker that completely leaked. I requested another coffee maker to which another front desk person said she would look for. I requested this Tuesday morning, and returned around 7-8 PM. No coffee maker in sight. I asked someone else who appears to assist with security or cleaning. He found a new one for me, but this should have been replaced long before. During check-in, I was told cleaning was every other day; and also what I selected using the Bonvoy app. Nobody ever came to clean the room. The location wasn’t great; at least not the view looking at an auto parts spot. Someone else I bumped into during my stay said he was looking for another location since he couldn’t imagine staying there for a month. I looked but the area had sold out of rooms. Otherwise, I really wanted to leave. There is a Springhill Suites close by that I stayed at the week before; it was so much better. I slept horribly throughout the week; the walls are thin, and you can hear every single kid running down the hallway, door knocking, door slamming. Also, it’s rare I come across hotels that have absolutely no USB outlets. The normal outlets are hit and miss as far as working. The AC unit is loud, and it’s either hot or cold, no good balance (it’s the old school unit near the floor; no wall control). Unless you are in desperate need of a place and all others are sold out, keep your expectations low. I feel bad for the employees as they appear to hold dual roles; the night manager never seemed to be at the desk, but i would always see her checking the floors. Another looked like she is also responsible for cleaning the lobby area. Perhaps this is why the room never got serviced. The 2 stars is only for the employees. In our room there was a dirty towel hanging on the back of our bathroom door. Then the lights went out at 2am and did not come back on till 4:30. So that left us hot absinthe dark for hours. Also I had two irons in my room that didn’t work the both left my clothes wet from the water leaking out of them both.

I’m the type of person who spends hours reading reviews before I’ll book, even if it’s just for one night!! This place looked ok, even if it was a bit pricier than usual. Check in was ok, although no recognition of my BW elite status. We were given a double room instead of the queen I’d paid for but I couldn’t be bothered asking to move. We were also sent out the back of the hotel which had done shady characters hanging around doing what looked like drug deals. We kept to ourselves and double locked the door! The pillows were good but it felt like you were rolling off the side of the bed. The room was clean and shower was good. Coffee machine didn’t work. Breakfast was awesome, busy but clean and they kept everything stocked. Overall stay was good and we would stay again.

This place is in walking distance to the beach. Close to restaurants (Shaggy’s, Saulte’, Chimneys). We enjoyed walking to the beach and the restaurant options near by. There is a restaurant on site. During our stay, there appeared to be parties and other events so we did not eat there. We enjoyed renting beach chairs a close by. There were a couple of things that didn’t make it perfect. We were told the restaurant closed at 10p. On the Saturday, there was a bunch of commotion that carried well past 12a at the restaurant. No worries for us but could be bothersome for some. Especially because you could hear everything through the balcony and walls. Then the Sunday night, our neighbor was extra loud. Not the fault of the hotel. But he was hollering and playing music very loud. It could be head from our room. He was pretty obnoxious. All in all, this place has so much potential. We did enjoy our overall stay. The “Melinda” suite was nice and cozy. And the restaurants nearby were nice. Plus the beach is right there!! I would consider staying here again.

A last minute trip to the coast had us searching for an inexpensive place to stay for a few days. The hotels along the gulf coast were ridiculously expensive, so we started looking for a room inland. Christina was so helpful and made sure we were satisfied with our room. Nothing fancy, clean comfortable bed, clean bathroom, coffee pot, mini fridge and microwave. One negative: the floor was vacuumed but needed a good mopping.

My family (and several other families) stayed here for a youth ball tournament over the weekend. Check in was quick and easy and even got early check in. The front desk clerks were very helpful and generally seemed happy to help with any of our requests. Our room was clean and we had plenty of extra towels brought to us when we requested. This hotel is close to several restaurants and shopping centers. Gulf Island Waterpark and the Gulfport Sportsplex were less than 2 miles away. Overall, we had a great stay and I would recommend this hotel for your Gulf Coast stay.
Red Roof Inn Gulfport - Biloxi Airport

My husband and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn for an extended weekend and we were pleased. The room was clean, everything worked and the front desk staff was professional and polite. It’s an older hotel but, again, it was clean and well-kept so we had no issues. I very much enjoyed the central location; they had the Outlet Mall nearby as well as another bargain shopping center and movie theater. There’s even a Walmart almost directly across the street. The one problem with the location is that no-one delivers to that zip code (unless you use a delivery app service like Waitr, Postmates etc). We tried to have pizza or chinese delivered, but no luck. I could talk about the continental breakfast was nothing spectacular, and the towels not being the most plush, but that wouldn’t be fair. This is a budget hotel and we got exactly what we paid for—nothing less. We’d definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Gulfport.
