Centennial Plaza Resort Gulfport

Great experience for my first time. Will be returning

I am boiling!!! We got woken up to someone trying to break into our room. No knock, no phone call. I had ALL the locks locked! Woke my husband up and he’s trying to look through the peep hole and he said “oh it’s just housekeeping”. He goes to the bathroom and they are still trying to get into our room. They finally knock and he answers the door and some man is standing with housekeeping and says “we have been trying to get into ur room”. My husband said yeah buddy we trying to sleep and closes the door. Next thing I know our hotel phone rings and I answer it and I go off “what is going on and why are yall trying to break into my room”. She starts giving me attitude about how they have the room listed as vacant. I said excuse me? I paid to be here until 11am today and ur front desk gave me the room keys Thursday and wrist bands until 5/3!!! Why would u think this room is vacant? She asked me to spell my name. I spelled it for her She said ok we just trying to figure out what’s going on. I said yeah how bout u do that and hung up the phone. I’m like shaking and blood is boiling. I have stayed in 100s of hotels in my 39 yrs and I have NEVER felt so invaded

Clean for the most part. I much prefer shower door than a shower curtain, the lazy river wasn’t clean the first time we went in it

The room was clean. They had to upgrade because my room was damaged with some rain. Food was great. People were friendly. It was great.

Couldn't check in on time as usual with this "resort". Rooms ok noth to jump and scream about. Pool lazy river and bar in lazy river nice.

My son caught a roach in our room, old stain on recliner, room wasn’t ready till the last minute and the WiFi was awful. We had an overall decent experience but I can’t say I would stay here again. Food options weren’t great considering no outside food and drink allowed.

They didn’t have breakfast so that was a negative approach but the parking was spacious and open. The staff was very friendly and the water park is best part with the lazy river! Lots of fun!!

Great stay. Enjoyed the lazy river and the Hippie Fish. You cant go wrong staying at the Centennial Resort!!

Room was clean although hallway smelled a little stuffy / weird. Pool area was really nice. Wish that as the hotel was not even close to full capacity early check in would be possible without a surcharge. 2-3 hours waiting when rooms are ready and empty is not a great way to welcome guests- although completely understandable if hotel would be fully booked
