Our return after approximately 20 years could not have been a better one! The Schloss has been beautifully restored and meticulously maintained and is a true tribute to the dedication shown by the wonderful Team led by Herr Ladislaus, assisted by Michael and Nermin, and other Team members. All facilities are spotless, the European breakfast is excellent, its vicinity to the vineyards, train, the beautiful town of Gumpoldskirchen and the wonderful welcoming people make it a perfect destination we will return to again and again. After long days traveling, visiting family and friends the site of the Schloss Spire let us know we were close to our Austrian "home away from home". Again THANKS to all !

Everything was excellent. 1. The historic castle with a chapel inside; 2. Located in the middle of vineyards; 3. A very hospitable host; 4. Clean rooms, tasty breakfasts and good wine; 5. Near Vienna and right next to the Wienerwald; 6. Good restaurant nearby (Krug); 7. We will come back :-)

Nice atmosphere in the castle located in the middle of vinery fields. Not faraway from Vienna city Center. Owner is very much family guy. Always smiling and simpathetic, open minded. If you expect in 3 Star hotelbreakfest or rooms likę in 5 Star hotels, you will be disappointed. However there is everything on the right level. We spend very nice time in the castle and surrandings. It is fantastic base for wondering and bicycle trips. I do recommend.

I went with my wife to celebrate an important anniversary here. We requested a good room with a view. Result: a fantastic stay, too short. We could not have been happier with the room, the personalised service, the perfect location right beside extensive vineyards, and the speed of communication. The buffet was excellent for breakfast. The shared kitchen for use by guests had a well-stocked fridge working on the honour system. And a key part of the stay was the beautiful Schloss with its stunning history, and the lovely nearby town of Gumpoldskirchen with its heurigens.

My husband and I have just spent a few weeks at this hotel and we loved it! First of all, we are talking about a historical, almost a thousand year old settlement (Gumpoldskirchen) with this particular castle (Schloss Gumpoldskirchen) being one of its oldest treasures that still exist! And I am very happy that the hotel's director Ladislaus E. Batthyány-Strattmann is doing such an excellent job managing this object! He does it with so much enthusiasm, with his whole heart and mind, that a couple of times I thought that he could read my thoughts -- so much is he attuned to his customers!!! Second, this hotel has a very pleasant indoor climate, which makes it a real refuge for people with allergies. It is the first hotel that I've been to that has parquet flooring and real wood furniture. No synthetic carpets or plastic furniture! Third, there is a lot of open space and no unnecessary stuff. However, there is everything you do need though (and even more) to be able to relax and enjoy this place and the nature surrounding it. Fourth, the staff are very friendly and customer-oriented. If you have a particular wish, let them know and they'll do their best to provide it. (By this, I do NOT mean a Wiener Schnitzel at 2 a.m., but things that are sensibly doable.) Last but not least, the location itself is absolutely great: vineyards, mountains, quite a bit of forest on the one side, and the old St. Michael church with the bridge to the heart of the old town on the other side... We will miss this hotel, but will for sure be back!!!

i really enjoyed my stay at schloss gumpoldskirchen. easy location for taxis to find. traditional and clean location. big castle with a lot of space and freedom to roam. a lot of things going on locally. friendly and helpful staff. nice people in the area.

Amazing hotel with over 700 years of history. It was a castle, a church and now a guesthouse which maintains its original look. The owners are wonderful and fantastic and make every effort to make it memorable. This wine region is perfect for a couple of days and don't forget to bring your bike and swimming trunks (an outdoor pool in close proximity to the hotel). close to Vienna (30-40min by train). This hotel is fantastic. Inmitten of vineyards with great views - the place is located high in the town and I was staying on the second floor. The rooms are simple but comfortable, spotlessly clean and the whole atmosphere was very pleasant. Excellent plentyful breakfast. The "heurigen" (Austrian style restaurants run by owners of the vineyards), serve good food and wine for reasonable prices in casual, nice places. Management is excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Overall a great and happy experience. Highly recommended.

Es war einfach traumhaft..das schöne, alte Gebäude, eine herzliche Rundumversorgung, der wunderbare Blick aus meinem Fenster in die Weinberge, die Stille..ein unvergesslicher Geburtstag!!Danke!!

Wir hatten das große Vergnügen, einige Tage im Hotel Schloss Gumpoldskirchen zu verbringen – und es war einfach wunderbar! Das Hotel liegt inmitten einer malerischen Weinregion, umgeben von sanften Hügeln und mit einer herrlichen Aussicht, die jeden Moment besonders macht. Schon beim Betreten des Hauses spürt man die beeindruckende Geschichte, die in den alten Gemäuern lebendig bleibt. Das Schloss strahlt eine besondere Atmosphäre aus – charmant, authentisch und voller Charakter. Alles ist äußerst gepflegt und makellos sauber, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer macht. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das herzliche Team und den Gastgeber, die uns mit großer Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit begegnet sind. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und bestens umsorgt – eine Gastfreundschaft, die von Herzen kommt. Ein Ort zum Entspannen, Genießen und Wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für diese schöne Erfahrung – wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!

Wir wurden sehr gut empfangen und unsere kleinen Probleme wurden rasch gelöst.

Exelente hospedagem, o atendimento é perfeito, o pequeno almoço com tudo. Passei duas semanas com um grupo de jovens, e tudo foi perfeito. A localização é optima muito perto de Vienna mas ao mesmo tempo num local super calmo e muito bonito. Os quartos são confortaveis e muito bem limpos e cuidados. Recomendo vivamente. Agradeço muita a hospitalidade do Sr. Ladislau e a sua equipa. Espero voltar um dia

Wir fühlten uns bei unserer Klausur des Pfarrgemeinderats sehr gut aufgenommen. Die Räumlichkeiten waren ideal für unsere Besprechungen, sehr praktisch auch der kleine Raum nebenan für Pausen, Kaffee und Kuchen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Eingebettet in einer traumhaften Landschaft liegt das Schloss Gumpoldskirchen ,wo wir als Familie eine wunderschöne Zeit verbracht haben. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes sauberes großzügiges Zimmer mit traumhaften Ausblick. Ein sehr vielfältiges tolles Frühstücksbuffet mit 1A Service. Super WLAN kostenlos!!!Die Gastgeber sind so zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich.Ein wirklich sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel welches man nur empfehlen kann!!!!
