Beautiful property. Really well built and laid out. We stayed at the one bedroom Premier Villa. It was spacious, very well lit up and the interiors were very nice. Bathroom was amazing with a skylight above the bathtub. His and Her sink + separated shower and toilet areas were a great add on. The property is very green and one would hear birds chirping, peacocks calling, hens, turkeys, white pekins around the property with some rabbits, guinea pigs, emus and even a horse in the pack . Pool area is ideal for the kids and even adults. There is cart service that one can avail to go around the property or even get a bicycle. But the property is perfect if you want to go for a stroll and check out all the amenities. Food quality is good. Buffet has a decent variety. Staff is well trained and looks after you well. All in all a great experience. Definitely recommended

We checked in on 27.02.26 at The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa after making full advance payment for two rooms. One room was for my mother-in-law and sister-in-law, and the other for my husband, myself, our 5-year-old daughter, and our 5-month-old infant. Let me be very clear — while the property looks beautiful, the service and crisis handling were shockingly poor and far from what one expects from a luxury brand. After dinner, we returned to our rooms to find there was no electricity. What followed was complete mismanagement. We were made to wait at reception for nearly 1.5 hours with two exhausted children, repeatedly asking for updates. Eventually, we were told the issue was “fixed” and were sent back — only to discover it was not. We then had to go back to reception again in cold, windy weather, transporting two sleepy children in a cart at a time when they should have been in bed. My 5-year-old daughter was terrified when the lights went off again while she was in the washroom. No family should have to experience this in a hotel claiming to offer luxury and comfort. We finally re-entered our room around 11:30 PM, and the electricity failed again at approximately 11:40 PM. This was not a one-time glitch — this was repeated negligence. The so-called solution offered was to move us to a 2BHK unit where the bathrooms had no proper doors — only sheer curtains. For a family stay, this is unacceptable and completely unprofessional to even suggest. The contrast in service priorities was glaring. The hotel ensured full payment was taken in advance and repeatedly called to upsell a Presidential Suite upgrade for ₹50,000. However, when we had requested a simple callback for a pre-arrival query, we never received one. Clearly, revenue generation takes precedence over guest comfort and accountability. This stay was meant to be a birthday celebration and a thoughtful break for me after 5.5 months postpartum. Instead, it turned into a physically exhausting and emotionally distressing experience. Luxury is not just about landscaping and architecture — it is about reliability, responsiveness, and respect for guests’ time and comfort. Unfortunately, this property failed on all three counts. Highly disappointing and nowhere close to the standards expected from a brand of this stature.

A Memorable Stay at The Westin Sohna – Royal Pool Villa We recently stayed for two nights at the Westin Sohna Resort & Spa, choosing the Royal Pool Villa for a relaxing getaway. While the stay was overall delightful, there are a few observations worth sharing — both highlights and areas for improvement. Let’s start with the positives, which were many: The dining experience was truly the highlight of our stay. Every meal at Red Bricks restaurant was exceptional — not just in taste but in the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Special thanks to Executive Chef Pradeep, ***** with Amit, Saurabh, Gaurav, Dinesh, Chirag, Himanshu, Ujjval, Ranjana, and Mercy. Their hospitality, genuine enthusiasm, and personalized service created a memorable experience that set a benchmark for resort dining. From custom touches to engaging conversations, their attitude compensated for every other shortfall during the stay. However, a few areas of improvement did stand out: Bathroom design in the villa felt slightly dated and not quite aligned with the premium nature of the Royal Pool Villa. Staff availability in the gym and recreational zones was inconsistent, making it difficult to get assistance or use facilities smoothly. We experienced a few technical glitches with the Marriott Bonvoy app, especially related to check-in and service requests, which delayed responses on a few occasions. That said, the exemplary service and effort by the restaurant team did a lot to offset these inconveniences and left us with warm, positive memories. In summary, while there are small gaps that can be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience, the people and food at Westin Sohna truly shine. We’d be happy to return — and sincerely hope to see the same amazing dining team again.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the standards of hygiene and service experienced during our recent stay at The Westin Sohna. Firstly, we were allotted our room quite late, which was inconvenient, especially as we were travelling with children. Upon entering the rooms, we were extremely disturbed to find that the towels provided were dirty and unhygienic, which is unacceptable for a hotel of Westin’s reputation. In addition, water glasses were not provided in either of the two rooms, despite the fact that children were accompanying us. Basic amenities such as clean towels and drinking glasses are fundamental expectations and should not require repeated follow-ups. What was even more concerning was that the only explanation repeatedly given by the staff was that the hotel was fully booked. While we understand operational pressures, being fully occupied cannot justify a compromise in hygiene, cleanliness, or essential guest services. Such lapses significantly impacted our comfort and overall experience and fall far below the standards expected from a premium hospitality brand like Westin. I request that this matter be taken seriously and looked into at the earliest. I would appreciate a clarification on how such issues occurred and what corrective measures will be implemented to ensure this does not happen to other guests. Looking forward to your prompt response.

The family decided to book a stay to ensure we were all together in one villa. Overall, the experience was mixed as the property has not been maintained for the price and the lack of housekeeping detail let the service side down considerably. The Chinese restaurant that hails regional delights from the historic settlements in Bengal was delicious and impeccable. The flaming wok tossing of the chefs through to the welcoming lightly fragrant tea, created the perfect backdrop to the courses of soup, noodles and rice dishes that not only were filling and plentiful but were a full of flavours that evoke the regional traditions. The accommodation however was sadly lacking the same attention to detail and was very disappointing. The rooms were certainly designed for the heat of an Indian summer with fans and air-conditioning provided. In the cold bitterness of a north Indian winter, there was an open fireplace to provide warmth and atmosphere. However, the fireplace was not available and considering the hazard it may propose this could be understandable. There was no alternative heating in the room, so an oil heater was supplied. The oil heater was broken (photo) and insufficient. A lamp could not be turned off and on inspection it was held together with sticky tape (photo). A wall fixture looked precarious as it desperately clung to the wall prevented from falling on a guest (photo) and wires protruded as an electrical hazard befalling anyone who might have reached unknowingly into the crevasse (photo). The room was not automatically daily serviced by housekeeping that meant fresh towels were not supplied until requested. It is disappointing that a property that is family friendly and offers so many experiences, from petting zoo to bike riding, that the accommodation has not been maintained nor serviced and the initial concept ignored. With so many options available in India, this is one to be avoided unless they can lift their game to match.

We recently stayed at The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa for one night and overall had a very enjoyable and memorable experience. The property, food, and hospitality truly stand out and are what make this stay special. Dining was a highlight of our visit. Dinner at the Red Brick Room was excellent — everything we tried was delicious, and the desserts were outstanding. The service made the experience even better. Suraj, who took care of our table, was attentive, warm, and extremely efficient, and really elevated our dining experience. Ranjana, both at dinner and during high tea, was equally pleasant and helpful. The high tea itself offered a good variety of snacks and teas, all well prepared, though a bit more seating would make the experience more comfortable during busy times. Breakfast the next morning was equally impressive. The spread was great, and the chole bhature deserve a special mention — flavorful, soft, and not overly oily, which is rare. Suraj once again ensured we had a wonderful start to the day. After breakfast, we spent some time exploring the resort and were reminded how unique this property is. The lush greenery, butterfly park, small zoo, fruit- and vegetable-laden trees, and even spotting peacocks from our patio made the experience feel serene and special — a true escape from the city. Although there is no executive lounge at the property, as Marriott Bonvoy Titanium members, we were provided welcome amenities ***** with lounge passes that could be redeemed at any restaurant for drinks and snacks. This was a thoughtful gesture and helped offset the absence of a dedicated lounge. At checkout, Wasim from Concierge was extremely helpful — promptly arranging a buggy, assisting with our luggage, and helping load everything into our car, which we truly appreciated. That said, the room itself was the weakest part of the stay and could benefit from significant upgrades. The heating system was ineffective, requiring an additional oil heater that still wasn’t sufficient for the size of the villa. The bathroom, in particular, was uncomfortable in winter — no heating, very cold at night, water leakage outside the shower area, fluctuating water temperature, dim lighting, and some plumbing issues. These are areas that clearly need attention and detracted from what was otherwise a very pleasant stay. Overall, despite the room-related shortcomings, the excellent food, warm service, and beautiful property left us with positive memories. With some improvements to the rooms, this could easily be an outstanding experience. As it stands, we had a very good one-night stay and would rate it a solid 4 out of 5.

If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would. We came here for a family stay and the experience was extremely disappointing for the price they charge. The property needs much better maintenance and the service levels are far from what you could xpect. Despite informing the hotel earlier that we were traveling with a baby, we were denied early check-in just minutes before 3 PM. What made it worse was that we saw other guests getting early check-in easily and were told that preference is only for higher room categories. This felt unfair and insensitive. The staff was also quite rude and uninterested, barely communicating properly and refusing to connect us to senior management, saying there was no General Manager available twice during the stay we checked. The room condition was unacceptable — dusty, poorly maintained, stained curtains, cleanliness issues in the washroom, shower not working properly, and even a lizard inside the room. No hot water as well, it was barely warm. The resort clearly needs to shut down for few months and under-go serious renovation. Food quality was average, bicycles were rusted and not suitable for kids. Zoo area and horse area was not maintained. Overall facilities did not justify the cost at all. Even the road leading to the property is in bad condition. Our room and bedsheet had pet hair all over and the stale stench of a dog's breathing. there were paw marks also in some places. It seems like they dont have separate rooms for people with pets. Felt very unhygienic and gross. Overall, this place is overpriced, badly managed, and nowhere close to what it claims to be. Definitely not recommended, especially for families with toddlers.
