Amsterdam Hotels with Gym

Trust me you will not be disappointed. The hotel is clean and modern. The hospitality is beyond amazing. The friendliest front desk that is available 24/7. Location is spot on. Train station, including busses, metro etc across the road and no more than a 5 minute walk. Was 1 stop to get into the centre of Amsterdam and very easy to navigate the public transport to venture into different neighborhoods as well. Hands down I will recommend hotel2stay to everyone heading to Amsterdam ! Thank you so much to all the staff that made our stay so pleasurable.

Hotel was great for the price you pay. The rooms are tiny (barely enough room to open a suitcase) and although situated conveniently next to a metro station is in the middle of nowhere but again, you get what you pay for and the lobby, gym and communal areas are well designed and well kept. If you don’t mind a 15/20min Metro travel to Amsterdam Centraal you wouldn’t mind it here I give the hotel 2 stars because I accidentally left my Apple Airpod headphones in the lobby area the day I checked out to visit another hotel in Amsterdam, although when I called Hotel Leonardo that same night to ask them if they’d been handed in I was told they hadn’t. I travelled down to the hotel the next morning to be told the same thing, that there were no headphones that had been handed in but they asked for my name and previous room number so they could contact me should they turn up. Luckily I was able to make my lost AirPods make a sound (findmyiphone feature you can activate when you lose a device) and I could hear them beeping behind the front desk so I told the receptionist that I knew they were behind the desk and she eventually handed them over. I firmly believe the hotel staff were trying to keep my misplaced AirPods headphones and if I had not been able to make the sound from the Airpods they would have pocketed them

This was about the only hotel within the area proximity I wanted that wasn’t costing an arm and a leg and had a lot of positive feedback. It was pretty helpful that a free shuttle was provided so it made the transition from the central station to the hotel much easier. I am not sure how guests of certain races are treated at NH Amsterdam but upon arrival at the reception area the person attending to us was trembling for dear life. I guess perhaps being non-Caucasian might posses a threat or maybe it was her first day working there. I really can’t be certain, but it really isn’t a good look if the receptionist can’t get her job done without shaking like a leaf when handing the paper to sign, when taking ones credit card, when handing the keys etc. The room was pretty comfortable, we were given one with a balcony on the second floor which was nice because the view was pretty amazing. Overall the room was clean but a little more attention can be paid to the bathroom. The hair dryer cord was very dusty. It is also pretty difficult to understand the heating system at the hotel. We only figured it out the last night being there, so our room was cold for the majority of our stay. Considering it is winter time, it would be nice if the housekeeper after cleaning, would keep the room warm and not have the ac on cold. We would always returning to a freezing room. The location was by far my favourite as it was only an 11 minutes walk to a train station. Getting buses to get around was not a problem and there was the added bonus of the shuttle. However, we getup and out pretty early and the shuttle doesn’t commence till 9am. The stay was a pleasant one and I would probably stay there again, as the negatives we encountered can be fixed I am sure.

We are staying at the Intercontinental hotels as our main hotel and have been most impressed. Our stay at the Amstel was so pleasant! The staff was absolutely amazing, every person we encounter was so helpful and kind. It is impossible to single out anyone as each team member was great. We ate at the hotel all of our meals except one and the food and service were perfect. We were so grateful that although the afternoon tea was full they were able to accommodate us in another beautiful location where our view was spectacular. We are in hotels 150 nights a year and our experience at the Amstel was one of the very best. The staff members were such nice quality people. They thanked us for allowing them to provide assistance to us. We were so humbled by the generosity of the hotel staff. While dining everyone pitches in and help one another and whatever we could want was provided immediately. Thank you very much with complete sincerity and gratitude. The management should be commended for encouraging such terrific service. We look forward to our next visit to Amsterdam and staying at the Amstel.

The hotel was great. Very good quality of the equipment. But the services from the Reception was very unkind. The online booking was not great because they announced in Booking website they are not charge the credit card before the the date of the arrival. But they have tried a lot of time to charge my credit card during more than 1 week then they blocked my bank account because my bank though a tentative of fraud. I paid my bank to unblock and made a new credit card. They said it was to save the room... So they are not really in phase with the information giving on their profile in Booking.com. After that, at our arrival, they tried to charge more than expected my reservation (the amount they blocked in my credit card + the full amount of my entire reservation so more than 420 Euros)

Room is clean and spacious. The view is also very nice. However, amenities are lacking. They don’t even have one single wine opener in the hotel. The wifi is also very slow, I was not able to watch any videos.

Great hotel. Modern, clean with plenty of space in the room. Shower excellent. All amenities provided including a gym and pizza restaurant/bar downstairs. Rate was reasonable and very close to Noord rail station. The only issue is that Noord is a developing area and there is not much going on outside the hotel. A train trip is required to visit downtown Amsterdam which is 2 stops away. Great for business travellers.

I chose this hôtel as I was travelling from the UK to see Dépêche Mode at the Ziggo Dome. And stayed two nights. Jaz in the City is just steps away from the Ziggo entrance so you can’t get any closer! It’s also great as a base for Amsterdam sightseeing. From the airport there’s a direct train (hotel is a 10-15 min walk from Bijlmer ArenA station). You can also hop on the metro here for a 20 min ride to Centraal. As Amsterdams public transport is so good (compared to Bristol in the UK where I live) you can confidently rely on it to get you wherever you need to be efficiently! Staff at the hotel are super friendly and helpful. From front desk, bar, restaurant and housekeeping. Everyone (thankfully) spoke English which is ideal for me as I can just about say hello and thank you in Dutch! Special shout out to Mr Omelette Maker at breakfast. The perfect start to a day of sightseeing!! I’m sure they’re are cheaper options but I’m of an age where I understand that you get what you pay for. This hotel in my opinion is great. It looks good, is super clean and well maintained and importantly ＜feels＞ good.

I love the location. Its close to Dam Square and shopping street. 7 minswalk to Amsterdam Central Station so its convenient. Toilet bowl has stain and not well cleaned. Room is comfortable overall. I love the breakfast and friendly staff.

Waldorf Amsterdam. The location has nothing to say, just by the Gentleman's Canal, an old European house.1.2-1.5 kilometers from several major museums, within 20 minutes walk (the three-story canal and each few steps have a cute bridge and a small house like chocolate on the shore make the journey shorter). First-class service, breakfast is very good, smoked salmon and ham are made by themselves, the taste is very good, but the room meal is difficult to say 😭; Room hygiene is also an absolute standard. The floor of the light white bathroom, bathtub, shower, countertop, and anywhere can not find a trace of uncleanness. The cleaning waiter is still so haunted (like the high-end hotels in Hong Kong and Tokyo); The bath is a full set of large bottles of Aesop, put it directly; basically, except for the expensive, there is nothing wrong with ～ I will consider living in Amsterdam next time.
