Amazing
GGuest UserExcellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel. Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible. The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough. Thank you for a great stay and I hope to come back again when I am back in the Netherlands. Kind regards, Diederik Lugt

ZZhaozaidadaoshangz16The location of the hotel is absolutely in the city center. The room is spacious and beautiful. It is a pleasure to sit on the balcony and watch the canal. The service is superb. The old doorman is a gentleman, and the receptionist is very polite. The bathroom is large, and the bedding in the room is superb, very comfortable. It gets dark at half past ten in the summer here, and the beautiful bells echo in the night sky. Special reminder: This hotel can check out at 4 pm.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to Noord metro station. It's only two stops from Amsterdam Centraal Station, and the walk to the metro is just a few minutes, making it incredibly convenient for reaching the city center and other attractions. The room was clean and hygienic. However, during tulip season, the room rate felt a bit inflated. There was no coffee machine in the room, the bed was a little small, and the bathroom mirror was exceptionally high – perhaps because Dutch people are generally quite tall! Overall, it was decent.

WweibetterStayed there for 3 nights and got the Superior with a canal view. However, could only see a little bit of canal when standing at the very end corner of the room (so basically no canal view) at a rate of $500/ night, it didn't really appeal. Other than that, service was great and room was very spacious and clean.

GGuest UserGreat location and staff, but poor cleanliness I liked this hotel overall, mainly because of its fantastic location right in the center of Amsterdam. It was extremely convenient for walking around the city, and all the main attractions are very close by. The staff was friendly, multilingual, and helpful with everything. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and even lent us an umbrella for the rain. Our room on the 4th floor was very spacious, especially by Amsterdam standards. However, the cleanliness was a major disappointment. The room was poorly cleaned: there was a lot of dust, the closets were dirty, and the coffee machine was so filthy that we didn't even want to use it. My overall impression is not bad, but due to the lack of cleanliness, I would not stay at this hotel again.

TtibbautThe hotel's location isn't particularly scenic, but it's perfect if you prioritize convenient parking. For a road trip, a hotel with its own parking is always my top choice. The 25 euro daily parking fee here is quite reasonable – even cheaper than street parking for a full day! Getting to Amsterdam city center is easy by metro, with the station just a 7-8 minute walk away. The room didn't come with toiletries or slippers, but you can get complimentary disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers from the front desk. The room itself isn't huge but perfectly adequate, and the facilities are good. Breakfast offers a wide selection.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is super convenient! It's about a 10-minute walk from Central Station and another 10 minutes to Dam Square in the city center. It's my top choice for business trips and leisure travel (this is actually my third time booking this hotel!). The breakfast is great too, and it offers excellent value for money.

GGuest UserCheck in time ridicilously slow during crowd for concert go-ers. Something with the city tax went wrong but friendly lady was able to fix it. Saved us €16 Room was fine, two seperate beds. A/c not working at all. CH3 error code Sheets were not fully clean but fine. Shower had dirty spots and fungi, way too slippery and possibly dangerous. Amenities were fine. Housekeeping at the door already at 9:30 and coming in without permission. Breakfast was fine but way too busy. All together I would say 7 out of 10. Great for short stay and really close to Ziggo Dome / arena district

XXiaonvxihuanhuitailangThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to Amsterdam Central Station, making it super convenient for public transport like buses, trains, trams, and ferries. From the airport, you can just tap your bank card (with a contactless symbol) to enter and exit the stations. Just remember to always check in and check out, or else you'll be charged for the entire route! The hotel charges a 200 Euro deposit upon check-in, and the water in the room's mini-fridge is not complimentary. Chinatown and [Red Light District] are both within walking distance. You can also easily take a train to The Hague and Rotterdam; both are close enough for a day trip.
