Great
GGuest UserI stayed overnight ahead of a cruise vacation. The hotel was clean, room and bathroom were spacious and well set up. I was able to walk across the parking lot to the Chipotle for dinner, though chose to bring it back to the hotel as it didn't seem like a place I'd want to sit and eat. As soon as I picked up my luggage at the airport, I called the direct hotel line and requested their free shuttle - they arrived in under 5 minutes!. The hotel then put me on a list to take the shuttle to the cruise port the next morning. That trip cost $10 per person one way, and the driver allowed passengers to book a $20 round trip ticket which would at the end of the cruise, either take you back to the hotel or straight to the airport. I found it really easy and convenient, and far less expensive than the cruise ship transfer or an uber/taxi. Their shuttle service was really easy to find at the end of the cruise and took me directly to the airport. Breakfast at the hotel had the usual assortment of hot and cold selections, I would say above average for hotel breakfast. I would return here in the future!
DDariusGreat place to stay. This has become my favorite place to stay whenever I stay in Tampa. The staff are absolutely amazing. Yeni, is the front desk that assisted me on my last visit and she did an absolutely AMAZING JOB! Thanks to you and your team for an amazing stay
AAnonymous UserThe first stop when arriving in this city is the hotel in the center of the airport. I watched the city's promotional video introducing this hotel. It is colorful and exciting. The airport is small and cute, the design is tasteful and beautiful. The hotel is directly connected to the airport, which is convenient. The lobby is simple. There are no tennis courts where we originally planned to play, the swimming pool is being repaired, and the water park is fenced off. The room has a sense of age. High-priced breakfast, not the buffet in the picture, super simple take-out breakfast. No water provided. Pictures and information are truly for reference only. The hotel's super high price is really too high.
FFineganThe hotel is a little confusing to get into as far as parking wise. Amenities are fair. The room was clean.
One drawback I can mention, is the hotel is located right on the train tracks. You can hear the train running all throughout the night. The train runs the horn so be prepared if you plan on staying here, to hear the train.
A second drawback was the thermostat in the room. Yes the thermostat. Why? The one in our room literally illuminated the entire room. It was as bright as a blue fire. I am sure like many of us adults like to sleep in the dark. No this literally was shining so bright you could read a book by the light. I would recommend to dim them for the customers prior to entering the room.
Oh we also had some noisemakers in our room next door. Had to call downstairs to let them know that it was time for rest.
This hotel is located in a party town. So assuming you like to party, it would be good for you.
GGuest UserI stayed at the Tampa Airport Marriott just for the convenience of traveling, but I didn't expect such a big surprise. The room facilities are good and clean. It is connected to the terminal. You can walk to the terminal with your luggage for a while. Shopping is also very convenient. The breakfast downstairs is really delicious😋
PPretti_Brown_Eyes83The hotel staff is amazing!! They’re so kind and so helpful. The location is good but the hotel lacks many amenities. However the customer service you receive makes up for it!
GGuest UserI realize that different people have different opinions to the same experiences. I found the room to be very clean and the breakfast to be good. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get into my room when I arrived. There were lots of people in the lobby who were waiting for rooms to be cleaned. All in all, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel.
GGuest UserThe hardest blasted bed I've ever been on! Then, we had some people racing their motorcycles nearby and calls to the front desk to report/request police help were met with disbelief since I couldn't tell them exactly where the motorcyles were - I did tell her to step outside and she'd hear it.... The hotel itself is charming, clean & nicely decorated, other staff were terrific so maybe this was just an ”off” night....
DDr RobertMy review is intended as constructive feedback and should be taken that way.
Check-in was a bit of a hassle, but once we got over a speed bump, everything was fine. I won't go into what happened exactly, but please NOTE: they do NOT accept cash for the deposit or payment. You must have a credit card.. Make sure your card works... and they don't seem to accept Union Pay cards. There isn't any drinkable water in the room, but there is a convenience store two buildings away - super convenient.
The rooms are clean. But, everything is old. The furniture could be quickly restored with some varnish to the furniture, and rustic rugs tossed on the wooden floors. They should consider adding their own line of soaps and hair care products for an element of care and elegance. It'd be nice to have a couple of complimentary bottles of water, as well.
The free shuttle from the airport - go to blue baggage claim and go out one of the blue entry/exit points; either 1 or 2 - at the far ends of the baggage claim corridor. Look for a ”Veterans Limo” van. They come regularly. Just tell the driver where you're going.
Breakfast is great if you love carbs. Unfortunately, no proteins were served. I recommend just adding some scrambled or hard-boiled eggs or turkey bacon and cheeses. You should add more varieties of bagels and bread, as well - especially if you're going to stay carb-centric. Raisin bagels would've been nice.
Thanks for the waffles. Neat, but I would prefer an omlette station.
Overall, I will probably not stay here again, but only because there are so many other options to choose from.
Oh... No offense, but the front desk staff could use some training in customer service and customer care. A couple of them seem to be tired of guests and refer to guests as ”them” and ”they” with a tone of contempt. The staff seems to be falling into a horrible customer care death spiral of ”us” vs. ”them” and seeing ”them” as ”stupid.” Maybe have just a workshop to help staff reaffirm their commitment to the hospitality industry.
Competition won't go away, but customers will.
