Hachimantai Hotels with Wi-Fi

The good: - Staff was very helpful - Central location to northern Tohoku (if driving) - Room was large and clean, and had plenty power outlets - Restaurants (breakfast and the Japanese restaurant) were all great with lots of local ingredients and plenty of space between tables. - Very nice onsen (in the adjacent Holiday Inn) The bad: - The room was dated (but with enough modern amenities like USB plugs) The ugly: - Wi-Fi is not encrypted

Free coffee was available in the lobby from 7:00 to 21:00. I was very happy because I couldn't drink coffee on this Hachimantai trip. I had a mini French buffet for one night out of two nights, and dinner at a nearby restaurant, Northern Grande for one night, so I never got tired of it. As written in many reviews, the water quality of the hot spring was really good. Plenty of hot water was flowing, and I was satisfied with both the indoor and outdoor baths. Family pension held by a couple of older people. A dozen rooms, very friendly atmosphere except outside the season which was my case .. a little sad many closed places ...a noting a local onsen at 600 m..
