The hotel was lovely, clean, spacious and had a great view from our ocean-facing room. It was within walking distance of Hagi castle town so the location was great. I didn't book a room with meals included in the evening so the front desk staff were very kind and introduced me to lots of delicious restaurants. The bath was also spacious and clean. I took a bath in the open-air bath early in the morning so it was a little cold, but it felt really good. I was surprised at how much breakfast there was, so I couldn't finish it. It was delicious and I was very satisfied, and I'd like to visit this inn again. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed in a Japanese-Western room. It was very clean, perhaps because it had been renovated. The room was... - Spacious enough - The bed was firm, which I liked - The TV was large - There was clever seating with a view of the ocean As for the food... - We ate at the restaurant - We didn't order any extras, but the portions were plenty and delicious - You can add an extra dish, so it's a good idea to do so when you check in As for the bath... - There is an open-air bath with a view of the ocean on the first floor - There is also a large bath with a view of the ocean on the second floor The open-air bath has no glass and is very open, but the view was also great from the large bath. - One thing to note... As the room faces the ocean, the windows can creak a lot when it's windy, so earplugs may be a good idea if you find this bothersome when sleeping.

Reasonably priced, old but clean interior. The fact that there are many plastic tableware is a direct attack method that suppresses consumption and increases economic efficiency. Good hotel. However, the razor in the public bath on the 2nd floor is an old cheap one that doesn't cut well and is easy to get hurt. Even though the razor in the scenic bath on the first floor is a new type of schick. The Japanese-style veranda facing the city has only roll curtains and no lace curtains. You can see the change of clothes from the apartment opposite. It's nice to have a bicycle that you can rent for 150 yen per hour, but the saddle is like an iron plate, and when you go back and forth to Shoin Shrine, you get blisters on your buttocks. You can see delicious food, a beautiful sunset, and a beautiful sandy beach. It's a very satisfying inn with specs, but it's a shame ~.

No cancellation fee will be charged if public transportation stops. Well, if I force myself to move by car and have an accident due to a typhoon, will the hotel pay for the repair and hospitalization charges? For the time being, I made a difficult decision based on the relatively good forecast from the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts. However, it seems that there is no consideration for the cancellation fee. Hagi is my favorite city, so it's very disappointing. By the way, the hotel in Shimane that stays the day before Hagi doesn't seem to require a cancellation fee.

Typhoon No. 14 seems to hit western Japan directly during Silver Week, so I called to cancel. Then, I was mercilessly told about "cancellation fee". If the reason for cancellation is sickness or something else, it's fine, but you don't want to risk it because it's a typhoon. Don't you care a little! Never again!

This hotel is located on the north side of the castle town, facing the sea. It is from the same chain as the hotel we stayed at the night before. The lobby and lounge have a great view of the sea. We stayed in a modern Japanese-style room on the third floor, which was spacious. It was nice that there was an independent air conditioner that could be used for dehumidification. The large public bath and the open-air hot spring bath (the bath is hexagonal) have a courtyard and an outdoor garden, and you can see the sea. Your body will be warm. We went to the observation large public bath at 6am the next morning. In addition to the indoor bath, there is a jet bath and a vibration bath. You can see the view of the Sea of Japan well, and there are people walking their dogs and jogging on the sandy beach. On the way to the large public bath, we also saw an exhibition of still life prints and colorful animal paintings by local artists. Breakfast was a set menu. The menu featured local ingredients such as monkfish hotpot, squid sashimi, and homemade tofu, which are representative of Yamaguchi Prefecture's products, and it was very delicious.

It is the perfect location for sightseeing in Hagi, where you can explore the World Heritage Hagi Castle Town area on foot or by rental bicycle. This is a seaside resort hotel surrounded by beautiful scenery with a sense of openness and the soothing scent of the sea. You can rent a bicycle from among 10 benefits such as late check-out, rental bicycles, private baths, etc., and go around "Genzui Kusaka's birthplace", "Hagi Meirin Gakusha", "Takayoshi Kido's old house", "Shinsaku Takasugi's birthplace", etc. I was. The roads are wide, flat, and well maintained, so even mamachari can ride comfortably without getting tired. Since the road with the old name remains as it is, it seems that you can run as it is now even with an old map. Hagi Castle Town is the political, economic, and cultural base of the Hagi Domain (Choshu Domain), and consists of three districts: the castle ruins, the former high-ranking samurai residence, and the former townspeople's residence. The ruins of the castle and the former high-ranking samurai estates were the political center of the clan, and at the same time, the fact that the townsfolk who had traditional handicrafts gathered in the castle town played an important role in promoting industrialization. increase. I only stayed one night on the last day of my trip to Yamaguchi, but I regret that I should have made the schedule a little more flexible because the castle town with its rich history and attractions is surprisingly large.

It's an old facility that doesn't look like a hotel for families on the beach. The sea looks good and is refreshing. It is certainly a hotel that can be reached on foot to the castle town. The large baths and rooms are about 20 years old compared to the trendy hotels these days! No repeats. I felt that I could not recommend it if the food was not good.
