Pullman Haikou

Upon entering the hotel, Skye, one of the porters, proactively and enthusiastically helped me with the door and my luggage, instantly making me feel welcome and at home. At the front desk, Gina's fluent Mandarin made me think she was from northern China. I even asked her where she was from, and when I found out she was local, it really spoke to the hotel's professionalism. I arrived late in the evening and went to the Chinese restaurant to try some Hainanese specialties like local fish and black goat. The server recommended an affordable set menu, which was excellent! 👍 Next time I'm in Haikou, I'll definitely book your hotel in advance (I'll come back just for that little fish pond!).

Facilities: The room is quite spacious and offers great value for money. Although it's a bit old, that's a minor detail. Hygiene: Overall satisfactory, no complaints. Environment: The backyard is large and perfect for bringing children to play, even with water activities. There's also a kids' playground on the 3rd floor. Service: The staff is very welcoming and helpful with luggage.

Overall, it was good. However, the restaurant service needs improvement. When I asked if they had high chairs, I was just told they were all in use. They didn't even bother to check. I had to insist they look for one after other guests finished their meals. The restaurant staff definitely needs more training; this kind of unprofessional service is unacceptable for a five-star hotel.

The room was spacious and the environment was excellent. It's impressive that an older hotel can maintain such cleanliness and tidiness; truly befitting a star-rated establishment. The hygiene inside was also very good. The hotel breakfast was rich and varied. Front desk staff LindaShela and MavisShela were very helpful and answered all our questions. Kevin Huang expertly handled our luggage arrangements, and the doorman always opened the door for us and assisted with our bags every time we left. The surroundings were very quiet, and the hot springs were comfortable. The pool was also large, though it was a bit too cold to swim in after the hot springs. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance.

Honestly, it's been a long time since I've stayed at a hotel with such meticulous housekeeping. A big thumbs up to them! 👍 Also, the mattress was incredibly soft and comfortable. You really do need to stay at hotels frequented by foreigners in China to get a soft bed. All the public facilities were operating, which is a step above many hotels inland (where outdoor facilities are often closed). The breakfast included freshly squeezed juice, which was excellent.

The Pullman brand truly has a unique taste, with an overall Southeast Asian style. Although the facilities show some age, they are well-maintained, and the room hygiene is good, as is the service. The hotel courtyard environment is excellent.

This was a family trip, and we booked a family room. The room was very satisfying. The hotel facilities are great, with hot springs and fun parent-child activities. The hotel breakfast was excellent, offering a rich variety of Chinese and Western dishes suitable for everyone. The hotel's service also deserves praise; Joan, Helsey, and Anna at the front desk, and Frank and Kivin from concierge, were all attentive and enthusiastic, leaving a deep impression on us. I specifically asked for their names to ensure they received positive feedback, and I recommend the hotel commend them.
