This time, I was assigned a smoking room, and as soon as I entered, I felt it was incredibly smelly. I wanted to switch to a non-smoking room, but the hotel was fully booked that night, so there were no rooms available. The front desk staff were very helpful and had a great attitude, but they couldn't resolve the issue. I tried opening the window for ventilation. It was very windy that night, almost snowing, but even after nearly an hour, the smoke smell was still very strong. I also tried using a spray, almost an entire can, but it didn't improve anything. The bathroom extractor fan was also pretty useless. I went downstairs to the coffee shop and brought up two cups of coffee to help neutralize the smell. The faint coffee scent made it a little more bearable. However, the entire night was enveloped in smoke, making it one of the most uncomfortable nights of my life. As soon as morning came, I checked out immediately. Additionally, there were some stains on the bed. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Clean, Comfortable Stay with Easy Tram Access A clean, comfortable business hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. The breakfast selection was limited, but everything was fresh and satisfying. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Hakodate Station, but the location is excellent for exploring the city by tram. A solid choice if you’re looking for a simple, convenient place to stay.

Didn't pay attention it was a smoker room so it's my bad. But other wise it's what you need to sleep and shower nothing more nothing less. Close the the train station with lot of restaurant nearby.

The local breakfast specialty at this Toyoko Inn was yogurt made with Hakodate milk.

The room's location is excellent, just a 5-7 minute walk from Hakodate Station, making it very convenient for getting around. There are also many restaurants nearby. It's not too far from the Red Brick Warehouses and Mount Hakodate, just a few bus stops away.

The room is tiny. There's a desk where you can put some stuff. It's definitely too small for two people, but at least it has two chairs. For this price, having breakfast included is a plus. It's one of the cheaper hotels in the area.

I had to catch a 6 AM JR train. They had already prepared some breakfast, but refused to serve it before 6:30 AM. This is a negative point. Will I get a refund for the breakfast cost?
